        Surface crack detection is an important aspect in the quality control process of egg markets. The acoustic vibration of an egg could be used as a critical factor in evaluating the eggshell quality. The mode shape indicates the egg vibration behavior at different locations with respect to the input impulse and provides important information for the optimum sensor location to obtain the desired acoustic measurements. Theoretical analysis and experimental measurements were conducted to determine the acoustic vibration modes in eggs. The resonant frequencies of the first and second resonance mode of intact eggs were found to be distributed between 2kHz and 7kHz range. The measured mode shapes of an egg were similar to theoretical shapes of homogeneous, elastic spheres. An elliptical deformation at the equator ring of the egg was observed. The frequency peak of this mode was dominantly present in the frequency spectrum of an intact egg impacted at its sharp position. The mode shapes related to the first resonant frequency of an egg showed that the optimum location for the measuring sensor was the 180 degrees position. A optimum location for the egg support was found to be the 90 degrees position having the smallest vibration magnitude.

        This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation on the free convective heat transfer from a vertical cylinder with longitudinal rectangular fin arrays. With 16 combinations of spacing and heights of fins attached on cylinders of various diameters (0.025m. 0.035m, 0.05m) and lengths (0.06m, 0.12m, 0.23m), 88 cases were investigated. Their features were found pretty different from those of a simple vertical plate or the fin arrays on a vertical plate. The effect of fin spacing S/D is not so dominant as expected. The effect of H/D is a little larger than that of S/D. The experimental work was focused to find the coefficients and exponents of correlation equation. Utilizing the governing groupings, the experimental equation was derived as equations (10) and (11) within the error of ±7%.

        An effective use of public facilities for life sports was studied. The purpose of this study was 1) to examine the present management and sport programs of the public sport facilities, and 20 to provide more effective and productive sports management and programs for Cheongju-city community, which will be resulting in an independence of Chungbuk Athletics Association and the enhancement of level of citizens' health and physical fitness. After the investigation on the present situations of managing public sport facilities, this study showed the following results and suggestions. First, this study found several problems (e.g, a few numbers of sport experts and programs, ineffective opening and closing time for each facility, etc..) and suggested new plans on the management of public facilities for sport activities. Second, this study provided more practical sport programs for each age group, regarding to each public sport facility. In addition, these sport facilities were also used for cultural activities and resting places for the community. Third, this study also suggested that an indepence of Chungbuk Athletic Association and the enhancement of level of citizens' health and physical fitness should be consequently accomplished by activation of effective management on sport programs and facilities.

        A residential enviroment have a role as important space in which men are live. This study is focussed to compose the space of individual housing garden through a field survey and questionaires. This paper is intended to provide the basic research materials that presents the direction of composition of traditional korean housing garden. The results of the study were summarized as follows; 1) Through comparing western house style with korean's, housing width per a person is in rank of below and further, density of building is in high level. Therefore, it is difficult to make composition of variety as to outdoor space. 2) As to concern about space composition of individual housing garden, in korean style everyone wants a garden with many trees, western and japanes's does one with lawns. 3) The most used materials at individual housing garden appeared that by orders tree, garden stone and water etc. 4) Recently, an individual housing garden trends to make a space composition of singular. As show above, gradually the composition of individual housing garden loses his tradition and identity and also, is changed as a singular space. So, this related much studies will be pursued in the field of landscape architecture.

      • 天然記念物 指定樹의 現況과 管理實態 및 그 對策에 關한 硏究 : 全北地方의 天然記念物을 中心으로 Special reference to trees designated as natural monuments in Chonbuk Province

        This study was carried out the learn present status of trees designated as natural monuments and how those are managed in Chonbuk Province. The trees of natural monument in Chonbuk Province belong to 9 families and 15 species located in 17 districts. Growth condition was relatively good, but not the management condition requiring protection and better management services. The results of this study suggest a countermeasure limiting the land use and protecting the plant ecosystem near natural monuments, thus demanding to study those natural monuments further scientifically and also to inform the importance of natural monuments to the public.

      • 全州市 韓屋地區(四種美觀地區)의 機能性 및 景觀性 改善에 關한 硏究

        The purpose of this study was to solve the point at issue that faced actually and offer improving program for the folk scene area that the pleasure of tradition and living respiration. The items of this study were investigated or originnal background of Korean-style house, changed situation of the fourth classe asethetic area based on the epoch and descrived the point at issue and its potential at the fourth class asethetic area in Cheonju City, etc. The results were summarized as follows. 1) The program was established simultaneously the folk scene of preservation and developmant. 2) There are deiberated the elevated dewelling and livelihood at the fourth class asethetic area. 3) There are maked tourist course that closely connected with a historic resource. 4) There are graded preservation that the value of the architecture at the fourth class asethetic area. 5) The Korean-style house preservation area was preseraved the folk cultual inheritance and estabilishment and enforcement of institutional installation at the fourth class asethetic area.

      • 위암세포에 의한 종양침윤 림프구의 면역반응 억제기전에 관한 연구

        Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes ('1°ILs) interact most closely with tumor cells and thus are more likely to reflect tumor host interactions accurately. But it is unknown whether such T cells are nonspecific inflammatory cells or a subset of specific host immune responses. In this study, there was no clear correlation between the infiltration of T lymphocytes in stomach cancer and the overexpression of c-ErbB-2 or increasing class I MHC expression on tumor cells. A positive correlation was seen between the presence of TILs in the tumor and tumors with diploidy by flow cytometric DNA analysis. The proliferative responses of Ills stimulated with IL-2, anti-CD3 mAb, or both were examined. When compared to normal mucosal-associated lymphoid tissue lymphocytes, the proliferative response of TILs to high dose IL-2 was minimal. A similarly poor response to anti-CD3 mAb plus IL-2 was also observed. The freshly isolated TILs exhibit reduced ability to proliferate in response to IL-2, anti-CD3 mAb or both. The microenvironment of the tumor suppresses the proliferative capacity of the TILs. The mechanism of this suppression remains unknown. It could be mediated by suppressor cells, by soluble substances within the tumor, or both. To examine this question, supernatants of stomach cancer cells (SNSNU-1) were tested for the presence of immunosuppressive factors. Human peripheral blood T-cells and tumor-draining lymph node lymphocytes (TDLNL) were incubated for 3 days with SNSNU-1 and then assessed for proliferative responses to PMA, anti-CD28 mAb, or both and for the inducibility to express IFN- r or IL-4 mRNA to PMA. Peripheral blood T-cells pretreated with SNSNU-1 were unable to proliferate in response to PMA, anti-CD28 mAb or both. SNSNU-1 also produces inhibitory activities of TDLNL proliferative response to PMA or anti-CD28 mAb and PMA (49%, 52%, respectively). In contrast, culture supernatants obtained from HEp-2, K562 or Daudi showed normal proliferative responsiveness of peripheral blood T-cells and TDLNL by PMA, anti-CD28 mAb or both.

      • 加熱面上의 單一液的의 核沸騰 熱傳達特性에 關한 實驗的 硏究

        An experimental study waw carried out to investigate the nucleate boiling of pure water droplet placed on smooth stainless steel plate for various initial droplet diameters. From time dependent measurements of surface temperature just below the droplet and of the projected base area of droplet, the time averaged heat flux ?? and the sutface temperature ?? are obtained. The heat transfer characteristics are analyzed by correlating the heat flux ?? with ?? Applying analogy with single phase forced convection, the heat transfer data for nucleate boiling of water droplet are correlated with a bubble Reynolds number and a bubble Nusselt number which are based on the bubble departure diameter from the heated surface. The correlating equation is as follows; ?? (수식) where the various fluid properties are evaluated at the saturation temperautre.
