The purpose of this study was to examine the level of knowledge about delirium, experience of assessment tool use, and educational needs about delirium among nurses. This study was a cross sectional descriptive study. Participants were 153 nurses. Data were collected from 3 hospitals using questionnaries. Data were gathered from march 10 to April 10, 2011. The data were analyzed with the SPSS/Win 12.0 program. Data were summariszed using descriptive statistics. The average score for nurses' knowledge about the delirium was 60, of a total score of 100. Only 7 nurses among participants had ever used the delirium tool. More than half of the participant (58.8%) responded that they needed education about intervention and management of delirium. It is important to provide education on delirium to nurses. Continuing educational program focusing on detecting and managing patients with delirium would be helpful for nurses taking care of patiens with delirium.

Background: This study was designed to analyze the current emergency department(ED) medical records of teaching hospitals in Korea. Methods: The five-item questionnaires were mailed to the EDs of 40 hospitals. Among them, 27 questionnaires and 35 ED medical records were returned for reply rates of 67.5% and 87.5%, respectively. Results: 1) The actual number of data elements in the ED medical records used by each hospital varies widely. It ranges from 1 to 15 data elements with an average of 7.5 data elements. 2) Thirteen data elements, signature of nurse, checklist style in review of systems, checklist style in physical examination, neurologic examination, figure of face, Glasgow coma scale, trauma scale, treatment plan, mode of transfer, condition on transfer, documents sent with patient, condition on discharge or discharge instruction, use of pediatric chart and vaccination history are used by less than 50% of the medical records examined. 3) There was no difference in the total number of data elements or in redesign and computerization of ED medical record based on the location of the hospital, the type of hospital administration, or the number of years since the start of EM residency program. 4) There was a statistically increased number of data elements in redesigned medical records. 5) In the survey, 89% of the residents replied that medical records needed to be redesigned. With respect to uniformity, 58% of the residents disagreed. A well-designed checklist chart rather than a descriptive chart was preferred by 89% of the residents. Conclusion: The currently used ED medical records have much room for improvement. The age of the ED had little impact on the quality of ED medical records. More attention and effort in this field are needed. In addition, The Korean Society of Emergency Medicine should provide guidelines for ED medical records.

A study on the standard of nursing practices. In order for new nurses to increase rapid adaptation and realistic nursing practice abilities in a new clinical setting, it is essential that there be a congruence with contents and methods of nursing practice education between the nursing education agency and clinical nursing practice managers. Therefore, a research on standard nursing practice for new nurses was conducted in order to induce common understanding about nursing practice between instructors of nursing college and head nurses of hospital, before opening 500∼700 bed sized hospital which used clinical practice setting for this nursing college and main working field after graduation. To achieve the above research purposes, nursing practice education materials for new nurses of two affiliated hospitals and four 500∼700 bed sized hospitals were collected. And then the contents of 6 materials were categorized according to theme, afterwards new contents of education materials were selected through discussions among the 5 researchers. Ultimately, the standard of nursing practices for new nurses was developed in hospital with 500∼700 beds.

본 논문에서는, 일반적인 스트립 구조의 결합기가 갖는 문제 즉, 높은 온도에서 나쁜 특성을 보이는 문제점을 극복하고자 Air Line Type의 결합기를 구현하였다. 또한 이 결합기는 24dB이상의 지향성을 가지고 있다. 해석을 위해 짝수 모드와 홀수 모드 해석법을 사용하였고, EM-Simulation으로 확인한 특성과 실제 제작된 20dB, 30dB Cellular 대역(800∼900MHz) Air Line 결합기의 결고 특성은 좋은 일치를 보여주고 있다. 또한 최대 장점인 온도 특성은 온도 데이터를 통하여 온도에 강한 특성을 보임을 알 수 있다.

In rehabilitation programs involving muscle re-education and endurance exercise, it is necessary to confirm when fatigue occurs. It is also necessary to quantify fatigue, to confirm whether the muscle has been exercised sufficiently. In general, as fatigue occurs, the force-generating ability of the muscle is reduced. If the median frequency (MDF) obtained from electromyograrn (EMG) power spectrum is correlated highly with work, then the timing and degree of fatigue may be confirmed. This study examined the relationship between work and MDF obtained from the EMG power spectrum during repetitive isokinetic exercise. Surface EMG signals were collected from biceps brachii and vastus lateralis of 52 normal subjects (26 males, 26 females) at 120˚/sec and 60˚/sec while performing an isokinetic exercise. The exercise was finished at 25% of peak work. MDF data was obtained using a moving fast Fourier transformation (FPT), and random noise was removed using the inverse FPT, then a new MDF data was obtained from the main signal. There was a high correlation between work and MDF during repetitive isokinetic exercise in the biceps brachii and vastus lateralis of males and the biceps Brachii of temales (r=.50∼.77). However, there was a low correlation between work and MDF in the vastus lateralis of females (r=.06∼.19).

<P>A simple synthesis procedure for solid-state reactions at an intermediate temperature (500°C) is applied to synthesize F-doped spinel-layered 0.5Li<SUB>2</SUB>MnO<SUB>3</SUB>•0.5Li<SUB>4</SUB>Mn<SUB>5</SUB>O<SUB>12</SUB> (Li<SUB>3</SUB>Mn<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>7.5-</SUB><I><SUB>x</SUB></I>F<I><SUB>x</SUB></I> with <I>x</I> = 0, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.2). The F-doping does not affect the crystal structure or the morphology of the pristine sample. However, F-doping increases the Mn<SUP>3+</SUP> content, leading to an improved electronic conductivity and a lower charge-transfer resistance. In addition, F-doping also reduces the difference of voltage between the oxidation and reduction processes, and enhances the Li<SUP>+</SUP> diffusion coefficient (with a maximum four times higher than that of the pristine sample). Consequently, the capacity and rate capability of the cathode are improved by F-doping (the <I>x</I> = 0.1 sample can provide a high capacity of 300 mAh g<SUP>−1</SUP> at C/10).</P>
