        People's demand toward the administration is immensely increasing nowadays though the governments's budget is limited. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and analyze the actual conditions of private entrustment of the administrative affairs in Taegu. The contents of this thesis are as follows. In chapterⅡ, the basic theory of private entrustment is analyzed systematially. ChapterⅢ introduces the actual examples in the U.S. and Japan. ChapterⅣ presents the case of private entrustment in Taegu. ChapterⅤ points out its problems and analyzes the expected effect when the private entrustment is implemented. Finally chapterⅥ concludes the thesis. To enlarge the operation of private entrustment in local administrative affairs, it is necessary to institute a committee or an organization which would take charge of the private entrustment affairs, alongs with the amendment of the related laws and regulations. It is also desirable for the concerned government administrators to fully understand the private entrustment and to make an effort in its improvement and enlargement with a positive attitude. In conclusion, a scheme of the private entrustment needs to be instituted on a large scale for the realization of the self-supporting public finance of local government and for the full-fledged implementation local autonomy. Further studies on the private entrustment, especially on the case study of the private entrustment and on the behavior of the trustees, are expected to be followed.
