20세기 정보혁명의 시대에서 이제 지식혁명의 시대에 접어 들었다. 따라서 우리가 원하든 원하지 않던 바야흐로 지식경영이라는 패러다임을 인식하고 이에 적응하지 않으면 개인은 물론 기업이나 국가도 목적을 실현할 수 없게 되었다. 지식경영의 여러 가지 요소 중에서 가장 중요하다고 생각되는 것은 조직 구성원인 사람이다. 즉 발달된 정보기술을 효과적으로 이용하는 주체도 사람이요, 개인과 조직이 갖고있는 무한한 지적능력의 계발 주체 또한 사람이기 때문이다. 이를 고려할 때 군도 국가와 사회조직의 일부로서 21세기 지식경영 시대에 부응하여 국방력을 강화하면서 좀더 효율적인 집단으로 재창조하는 차원에서 군 인재의 육성방안에 대해 연구하였다. 우리나라는 역사적 배경으로 볼 때 일본이나 서구의 선진국들에 비해 산업화는 늦었지만 정보화에 있어서는 비교적 대등한 수준에서, 일부 분야에서는 오히려 앞서고 있다고 하니 참으로 다행스럽다고 할 수 있다. 우리나라는 세계 어느 국가보다 고등교육을 받은 인적자원이 풍부하다. 개인 및 조직이 갖고있는 지적자원을 어떻게 계발시키고 기업 및 국가 경영에 잘 활용할 것인가 하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 따라서 상기에서 강조한 내용을 실현시키기 위한 군 인재의 육성방안에 대한 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 제 1 장에서는 연구의 목적과 범위 및 방법에 대해서 알아보고 제 2 장에서는 지식경영의 개념과 필요성 및 효과에 대해 살펴보았으며, 제 3 장에서는 국내기업의 지식경영 적용사례와 지식경영 연구의 최근동향 등 한국사회의 지식경영 현 실태를 분석하였으며, 또한 군에서의 지식경영 적용상의 현 실태 및 문제점을 분석하였다. 제 4 장에서는 지식경영 시대에 부응한 군 인재를 양성하는 방안으로서 지식경영시대에 적합한 군에서의 리더가 갖추어야할 자질 및 덕목을 바탕으로 지식경영을 실현하기 위한 개인 및 조직의 창조적 사고를 계발하기 위한 일반적인 방법을 기술하였다. 그리고 창의력을 갖춘 군 인재를 육성하기 위한 군사 교육기관에서의 창의력 계발 교육방안을 제시하였다. 즉, 창의력 계발에 저해되는 교육진행상의 관행을 개선하기 위한 수업방향 및 수업방법과 교육평가의 방향을 제시함과 동시에 간부 및 병사들의 자기계발 방안과 보상제도 보완방안에 대해 연구하였다. 제 5 장에서는 지금까지의 주요 내용을 검토, 요약 정리하여 결론을 기술하였다. 이와같이 본 논문에서 연구된 내용을 모든 군 교육기관에서 반영 및 정착될 수 있다면 군에서의 지식경영의 성과를 보다 일찍, 그리고 크게 달성될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다. Now, we are on the threshold of the age of knowledge revolution from the age of information revolution in the 20th century. Therefore, if we don' recognize and adapt the paradigm of knowledge management. ― whether we want or not ― an individual, enterprise, and even country will not be able to achieve its goal. Among other factors in knowledge management, a man is thought to be the most important factor. That's because it is a man that effectively makes use of information technology and develop an infinite intellectual ability an individual and organization has. Considering these, the military, as the part of country and society, is required to research the measures to nurture military personnel in terms of recreating the military to a more effective group while strengthen the national defense power to meet the age of knowledge management in the 21st century. Historically, our industrialization was late, compared to Japan or other advanced western countries, but it is fortunate that now we are on the equal level ― even advanced in some areas ― in terms of information-oriented. We have a great number of highly educated personnel resources more than any other countries. Thus, it is important how to develop intellectual resources and to make use of it in industrial and national management. To achieve these purposes, the contents of this study are as follows. Chapter 1 refers to the purposes, range, and methods of this study. Chapter 2 addresses the concept, need, and effect of knowledge management. Chapter 3 analyzes the current situation of knowledge management in our society such as examples applying to knowledge management in domestic enterprises and current trend of knowledge management research. The actual conditions and problems that are occurred in applying to knowledge management in the military are analyzed in this chapter. Chapter 4 refers to the measures to nurture military personnel who meet the age of knowledge management. It describes the general methods to develop personal and organizational creative thinking and to realize knowledge management by military leaders who have the qualities and moral principles in accordance with the age of knowledge management. This chapter also proposes the educational methods to develop military personnel's creative mind in military educational institution. That includes teaching direction, teaching methods, and educational evaluation direction to improve traditional practices which impede creative mind development. The measures to self-develop and complement reward program for military officers and enlisted men are also included in chapter 4. Chapter 5 addresses the conclusion of this study by reviewing and summarizing above contents. If this study can be reflected and applied to military education, the results of knowledge management in the military will be achieved even earlier and greater.
