자연체험활동이 유아의 창의성 증진에 미치는 효과 = (The) Effect of a Nature Experience Activity Program on Young Children's Creativity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자연체험활동이 유아의 창의성 증진에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다.
이와 같은 목적에 따라 설정한 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 자연체험활동은 유아의 창의성 증진에 효과가 있는가?
1) 자연체험활동은 유아의 유창성 증진에 효과가 있는가?
2) 자연체험활동은 유아의 융통성 증진에 효과가 있는가?
3) 자연체험활동은 유아의 독창성 증진에 효과가 있는가?
4) 자연체험활동은 유아의 상상력 증진에 효과가 있는가?
본 연구는 충청남도 논산시에 위치한 B초등학교병설유치원 4~5세 유아 20명과 논산시에 위치한 D초등학교병설유치원 4~5세 유아 20명을 대상으로 하였다. 자연체험활동에 참여한 실험집단은 20명으로 4세 10명, 5세 10명이며, 비교집단은 20명으로 4세 10명, 5세 10명으로 구성하였다.
자연체험활동이 유아의 창의성에 발달에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실험집단은 「햇별이 따뜻해요」 , 「땅속 벌레를 만나고 싶어요」 , 「웅덩이를 찾아보아요」, 「낙엽으로 방석을 만들었어요」, 「숲 속에서」, 「누워서 구름을 보자」, 「나무마다 껍질이 달라요」, 「바람을 보았어요」 의 8가지 자연체험활동을 주 1회 50분씩 총 8주에 걸쳐 400분 실시하였고, 비교집단은 자연체험활동을 실시하지 않았다.
유아의 창의성을 측정하기 위해 전경원(2003)의 「유아 종합 창의성 검사」 를 사용하였다.
연구문제를 검중하기 위하여 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전점사 및 사후 검사에 대한 공분산 분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 자연체험활동을 한 실험집단 유아의 창의성은 비교집단 유아의 창의성보다 더 높게 나타나 자연체헌활동이 유아의 창의성 증진에 효과적이다.
둘째, 자연체험활동을 한 실험집단 유아의 유창성은 비교집단 유아의 유창성보다 더 높게 나타나 자연체험활동이 유아의 유창성 증진에 효과적이다.
셋째, 자인체험활동을 한 실험집단 유아의 융통성은 비교집단 유아의 융통성 보다 더 높게 나타나 자연체험활동이 유아의 유창성 증진에 효과적이다.
넷째, 자연체험활동을 한 실험집단 유아의 독창성은 비교집단 유아의 독창성 보다 더 높게 나타나 자연체험활동이 유아의 독창성 중진에 효과적이다.
다섯째, 자연체험활동을 한 실험집단 유아의 상상력은 비교집단 유아의 상상력 보다 더 높게 나타나 자연체험활동이 유아의 상상력 중진에 효과적이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a nature experience activity program on young children's creativity.
For this purpose, the following research questions were addressed:
1. Does the nature experience activity program have an effect on the improvement of young children's creativity.
1) Does the nature experience activity program have an effect on the improvement of young children's fluency.
2) Does the nature experience activity program have an effect on the improvement of young children's flexibility.
3) Does the nature experience activity program have an effect on the improvement of young children's originality.
4) Does the nature experience activity program have an effect on the improvement of young children's imagination.
Forty 4 to 5 year old children from two public kindergartens in Nonsan city in Chungnam Province took part in this study. 20 children of B kindergarten were assigned to the experiment group and 20 children of B kindergarten were assigned to the control group.
A nature experience activity program including eight sub activities was applied to the experiment group. The program was given one session per week for 8 weeks, each of which was 50 minutes long. The control group did not receive any treatment.
A creativity test for young children was used in this study to measure children's level of creativity. Collected data were analysed by ANCOVA method using the SPSS program.
The major findings were as follows:
(1) Children in the experiment group who participated in the nature experience activity program showed significantly higher level of creativity than those in the control group.
(2) Children in the experiment group showed significantly higher level of fluency than those in the control group.
(3) Children in the experiment group showed significantly higher level of flexibility than those in the control group.
(4) Children in the experiment group showed significantly higher level of originality than those in the control group.
(5) Children in the experiment group showed significantly higher level of imagination than those in the control group.
In sum, the results showed that the nature experience activity program had an effect on the improvement of young children's creativity.
