The purpose of this study is to understand a basic research required to parental educational programs for healthy growth and development of children by revealing how deeply Parenting' behaviors could affect children's social development,
In order to reach the goal of this study, the following questions have been raised.
1. Is there difference in parent's bringing up behavior who follow in parent's life satisfaction?
2. Is there difference between parent's behaviors?
3. Is there difference in social development according to Individual of child?
3-1. How is child social development level different according to child sex?
3-2 How is child social development level different according to child age?
4. How is relation parent's behaviors social development of child.
5. What effect does parent's behaviors up cause in child social development.
This study has been performed through a survey of 120 three to 5-6 years old infants and their parents who attend Daejon, a Kindergarten, an Art school.
A verification tool of parenting behaviors was a questionnaire of Choi Yu Geong (1999) that modified and supplemented Schaefer (1959)s Maternal Behavior Research Instrument (MBRI), to verify childrens social development, a tools of Lee Wi Hwan (1994) was used.
Each elements were six question with a total 48 questions in the survey.
The analysis of study has been carried out by SPSS 12.0 for Windows, which yielded the average and standard deviation of each variable, and in order to verify the difference of the two groups, t-test has been used.
