The anger-out and anger-in which every one can have may cause various problems. Accordingly the anger must be properly controled and managed. This study is centered on the effect of assertiveness training as an instrument to properly control and manage anger and on its effect leading to private self consciousness that one is attentive to his own internal thinking and feeling and to public self consciousness that one is attentive to what others see him as a social object.
To accomplish this aim, 8 students on K University in Busan, Korea were selected as the experimental group. A pre-test about the anger expression questionnaire of 24 questions and about the assertiveness questionnaire of 23 questions was made. After that test, an assertiveness expression training program of 15 hours was made for 2 days, and a post-test was taken. Also, another 8 students at the same university were chosen as the control group, and they were pre-tested as same as the experimental group and post-tested after 24 days.
The differences between the two groups of the pre-test and the post-test of the its material was processed by the t-test. In order to analyze the meaningful effect of the experimental group in comparison to the control group, the difference values of both groups were t-tested, and accordingly the anger expression and the self consciousness were analyzed relatively.
The result of the t-test between the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group showed that there was a meaningful difference on the decrease of anger-in in the categories of anger expression and also on the increase of private self consciousness in the categories of self consciousness. The result of the t-test of the differences between the two groups' pre-test and post-test also showed that there was a meaningful difference on the decrease of anger-in in the categories of anger expression and also on the increase of private self consciousness in the categories of self consciousness. After the relative analysis between the anger expression such as anger control, anger-out and anger-in and self consciousness such as private self consciousness, public self consciousness and social unstability, there was a statistically meaningful static relativity between the anger-in, public self conscious and social unstability.
