간호사의 윤리적 딜레마 = Ethical dilemma of nurses

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted to explore the lived experience of ethical dilemma of nurses, to describe the structure of the meaning of this experience for nurse s and to suggest the basic nursing intervention about ethical dilemma by pheno menological method.
The participants in this study were seven nurses with 3years and more caree rs who worked at general hospital and university hospital in T, P, K city.
The data were collected from May, 2004 to September, 2004 through in-depth interviews and participant observation untill saturated.
The data were analyzed by phenomenological method suggested Giorgi(1978).
The structure of the meaning were as follows ;
·Role limitation : a custom of institutional, the power of decision, economical support, priority of institutional, family abandonment of impatient.
·Difficulty of decision : ambiguity of circumstantial judgement, lack of knowle dge and experience, opposition to opinion.
·A attitude of self defensive : do not one's best, self management, self rationa lization, intentional indifference, a lie, formal alignment, self-humbling, sens of skepticism, intentional avoidance.
·Difficulty of interpersonal relation : senior and junior‘s order, not have self-confidence, role of a mediator, uncooperative behavior, impolite speech and behavior, difference of opinion.
·A custom of unable expose : speech and behavior in bad faith, mistake of tac it, habitual speech and behavior.
Based on the results of this study, there is need to study for identify the ethical dilemma of nurses from the viewpoint of korea, and development of nursing ethics guidebook to guide at ethical dilemma situation in nursing field.
