This research investigated the relation of cultural sociology and demography in concerning to the 221 old people living in Seosan and Taean district. The research results will do much to give a basic data for developed training for the aged and that will go far toward making a welfare system of the old.
The research has been specially examined to research a relation of cultural sociology and demography, which is included a relation with specific of demography between social upholding and a connection with specific of cultural sociology between a preparation for superannuating also a relation with specific of demography between a feeling of living, it was last to looked forward an effect on a stand of the aged.
For the accomplishing research, the questionnaire was made for the 65yrs old and the measure of investigation was an attitude about the old by themselves. As well as that used the "ADL" and the "IADL" for movement ability on daily life, and determined emotional, instrumental upholding for find a social upholding. It was also analysed and divided by a low rank that was used a physical preparation, emotional preparation and financial preparation for measuring the preparation for retirement and the feeling of satisfaction.
The investigated research materials were analysed by SPSS WIN 11.0 and which used a frequency, primary factor, reliability, T-Test, and correlation analysis.
The major findings of this research were as followings:
1. The attitude about the old came over their gender, married status, and religion. It makes clear that female answered in the affirmative the attitude about the old more then male, also the group of bereavement, divorce, separation, unmarried single were shown a similar response to compare with the married.
The ADL & IADL (movement ability on daily life) was appeared a difference by age, educational background, and having a conversation with their sons and daughters. Of those questioned, said they have felt ADL & IADL hard enough, who has a no formal schooling, more than older and having a conversation 1~2 hours with their sons and daughters.
The properties of social upholding were brought out some discrepancy in their gender, age, religion and supporting state. It was shown that female has a much support of social upholding then male, and a little older man was supported less, a Catholic was supported much then others both on the instrumental upholding.
The research shows that the group, which was living with their sons and daughters, has a much support of social then other groups and the group which has a conversation 1~2 hours with their sons and daughters has a more emotional upholding. Also the group with a conversation 1~2 hours was taken a lot of support by instrumental upholding.
In the preparation for retirement, there are some differences on physical preparation in accordance with gender, age, religion, supporting state and having a conversation with their sons and daughters, it has a differences in the emotional preparation by educational background, supporting state and religion and also has the financial preparation shows that a difference with married state, age and educational surrounding.
the feeling of satisfaction in living was appeared a difference with a age, educational background and having a conversation with their sons and daughters, the old who has a partner in life, more younger and higher educational background; has felt a satisfaction enough, the group which has a conversation 1~2 hours with their sons and daughters was shown a high satisfaction.
2. In the influence of realising stand about the old, we could do recognise that the physical preparation and the feeling of satisfaction has an affirmative stand for their life under its influence.
