진로가치 명료화 훈련이 중학생의 진로성숙에 미치는 효과 = (The) effects of career value clarification training on career maturity of middle school students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 중학생들을 대상으로 한 진로가치 명료화 훈련 프로그램을 구성하여 실시하고 이에 참여한 학생들의 진로성숙에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하는 것이다.
이를 위하여 다음과 같은 세 가지 연구문제를 설정하였다.
(1) 중학생들이 진로가치 명료화 훈련에 참여함으로 진로성숙 태도의 변화에 긍정적인 효과를 얻게 되는가?
(2) 중학생들이 진로가치 명료화 훈련에 참여함으로 진로성숙 능력이 향상 되는가?
(3) 중학생들이 진로가치 명료화 훈련에 참여함으로 진로성숙 행동의 변화에 긍정적인 효과를 얻게되는가?
이러한 연구문제를 해결하기 위하여, 연구자가 근무하는 부산 시내 J중학교 3학년 중 진로성숙도 검사에서 동질성이 검증된 2개 반 학생 각 30명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나눈 후 실험집단에 대하여 7회기의 진로가치 명료화 훈련 프로그램을 실시하였으며 프로그램 실시 사전·사후의 진로성숙도 검사 결과를 가지고 평균차이 검정인 t검정을 하여 분석하였다.
본 연구에서 사용한 진로가치 명료화 훈련 프로그램은 학생들의 진로성숙을 위하여 진로가치 명료화 프로그램을 연구에 투입한 선행연구들을 참조하여 본 연구의 대상에 알맞게 수정·보완하여 재구성하였으며, 훈련은 매 회기 45분 내외로 하여 주 1회 총 7회기를 연속적으로 실시하였다.
이상과 같은 연구과정을 거쳐 얻어진 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
진로가치 명료화 훈련 프로그램을 적용한 실험집단은 통계분석 상 진로성숙도 전체영역에서 유의도 .01 수준에서 의미 있는 차이를 보임으로, 진로가치 명료화 훈련 프로그램이 중학생들의 진로성숙의 전반적인 영역에서 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
이를 연구문제에 따라 진로성숙의 각 하위영역별로 살펴보면,
첫째, 진로성숙 태도의 변화에 미치는 효과에 대한 검증에서는 사전·사후 검사에서 .01의 유의수준에서 의미 있는 차이를 나타내었고, 구성요소별로는 독립성과 계획성은 유의도 .01, 일에 대한 태도는 유의도 .05의 수준에서 의미있는 차이를 나타내었다.
둘째, 진로성숙 능력의 향상에 미치는 효과에 대한 검증에서는 구성요소별 자기이해는 .05, 정보활용 및 진로결정 능력과 직업에 대한 지식은 .01의 유의수준에서 의미 있는 차이를 보였고, 능력 영역 전제적으로는 유의도 .01 수준에서 의미 있는 차이를 나타내었다.
셋째, 진로성숙 행동의 변화에 미치는 효과에 대한 검증에서는 진로탐색 및 준비활동이 유의수준 .01에서 의미 있는 차이를 보였다.
이상과 같은 연구의 결과를 토대로 결론을 내리면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 진로가치 명료화 훈련 프로그램은 중학생의 전반적인 진로성숙도를 향상시키는데 효과가 있다. 따라서 학교에서 학급단위의 교과활동이나 학급활동 등을 통한 진로교육 또는 진로지도에 의해 진로성숙도를 향상시키기 위한 방안으로 다양한 훈련 프로그램의 개발과 적용은 유용하다.
둘째, 적절한 내용으로 구성된 진로성숙을 위한 프로그램은 프로그램의 성격에 띠라 중학생들의 진로성숙도를 향상시킴에 있어서 전반적으로 효과적일 수 있으나 단기간의 훈련을 통해 큰 효과를 얻을 수 없는 영역도 있으므로 진로교육 또는 진로지도의 대상에 따라 그 내용을 달리하는 적절한 프로그램의 개발과 적용이 지속적으로 이루어질 때, 진로성숙을 위한 훈련의 효과를 극대화시킬 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the career value clarification training program on career maturity of middle school students.
The research subjects for achieving this purpose are as follows.
(1) Are there any significant changes in the attitude of career maturity of the students who have taken part in the career value clarification training program?
(2) Are there any improvement in the ability of career maturity of the students who have taken part in the career value clarification training program?
(3) Are there any significant changes in the behavior of career maturity of the students who have taken part in the career value clarification training program?
For the study, the 60 students of 3rd grade of a middle school located in Busan metropolitan city were divided into two groups: 30 into the experimental group and the rest 30 into the control group. And the career value clarification training program was applied to the experimental group for 45 minutes once a week in a total of 7 sessions. For verification of effectiveness of the experiment, the assessment of career maturity was executed before and after the career value clarification training program was applied. But any program was not applied to the control group only but pre-test and post-test of career maturity.
The result of this study can be summarized as follows.
In terms of the effect of the career value clarification training program on the total score of career maturity of students, the result of comparing the pre-test and post-test show that the meaningful difference appear in the experimental group by p＜.01.
And also, the result of comparing the pre-test and post-test on subordinate parts of career maturity show that the meaningful difference appears on the change of the attitude, the improvement of the ability and the change of the behavior of career maturity.
Through the career value clarification training program, students gain the positive effect on improving their attitude of career maturity and promoting their ability and behavior of career maturity.
The conclusion drawn from this result is as follows.
The level of career maturity was generally increased in the experimental group applied with the career value clarification training program. Therefore, it is inferred that the program helps students to reassure themselves about the direction of their preferred careers in the process of planning and selecting them on their understanding of the self and the career world. Consequently, the career value clarification training program is effective in the improvement of career maturity of middle school students. And so, it is useful in the career education for middle school students.
