청소년의 가정폭력 경험과 인터넷 중독과의 관계에 관한 연구 : 스트레스 대처의 조절효과를 중심으로 = (The) research for the relation between internet addiction and the experience of domestic violence in adolescence : focused on the moderating effect of stress coping

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리나라 청소년들의 가정폭력 경험이 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향과 스트레스 대처가 가정폭력 경험과 인터넷 중독을 완화시킬 수 있는가에 대한 연구에 목적이 있다. 가정폭력 경험은 하위유형으로 부부폭력 노출경험과 자녀폭력 피학대경험으로 분류되어 수행되었다. 조사는 양적 설문조사에 의해 이루어졌고 조사대상자는 서울․경기지역에 있는 고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년들을 대상으로 하였다. 2004년 11월 4일부터 11월 18일 기간동안 직접 방문하여 설문지를 배포하고 자기기입식 설문조사 방식을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 결과분석에서는 879명의 자료가 사용되었으며, SPSS 12.0을 이용하여 기술통계분석, t 검증, 위계적 중다회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 가정폭력 경험이 있는 청소년들일수록 인터넷 중독이 증가되었을 뿐만 아니라 가정폭력 경험의 하위유형인 부부폭력 노출경험과 자녀폭력 피학대 경험이 있는 청소년들일수록 인터넷 중독이 증가 되었다. 그리고 가정폭력 경험이 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향에 대한 스트레스 대처의 조절효과를 검증한 결과, 스트레스 대처가 적극적이고 해결중심적일수록 가정폭력에 의한 인터넷 중독이 감소하게 되었다. 가정폭력 경험의 하위유형인 부부폭력 노출경험과 자녀폭력 피학대경험의 경우에서도 같은 결과를 나타내었다. 이에 본 연구는 다음과 같은 의의를 가진다. 첫째, 인터넷 중독에 영향을 미치는 가정환경 요인 중 청소년의 가정폭력 경험 요인을 규명함으로써 청소년의 인터넷 중독을 감소시킬 수 있는 치료 및 예방 프로그램의 초점을 제공해 주고 있다. 둘째, 가정폭력 경험이 인터넷 중독에 영향을 미치는 것에 대한 스트레스 대처의 조절효과를 통해 가정폭력 경험을 했더라도 스트레스 대처를 잘 한다면 가정폭력 경험뿐만 아니라 인터넷 중독에 대한 예방을 할 수 있다는 근거를 입증함으로써 상담 및 치료 프로그램 개발의 근거를 제공해 주고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the experience of domestic violence influences internet addiction in Korean adolescents, and how stress coping can decrease experience of domestic violence and internet addiction. The experience of domestic violence was performed by dividing of exposure to the experience of conjugal violence and offspring violence. Research was based on quantitative surveys, and subjects for the quantitative survey were adolescents who were attending high school students in the area of Seoul and Gyeonggi do. During November 4th to 18th in 2004, data was collected by a self-administrated survey method. Data from 879 adolescents was analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, linear regression and so on, using the SPSS 12.0. As a result, not only the adolescents'' experience to domestic violence increased the internet addiction but also the experience of conjugal and offspring violence increased the internet addiction. It is also found that stress coping management of individuals for experience of domestic violence influenced internet addiction. It meant that internet addiction from domestic violence was decreased through individuals'' stress coping management The exposure to the conjugal and offspring violence also showed the same result. Based on the result of this research, implications for social work are like following: First, this study provides the focus of therapy and prevention programs that can decrease internet addiction of adolescents, identifying the factors on the experience of domestic violence among family environmental factors that influence internet addiction in adolescents. Second, it also demonstrates that although the adolescent experienced the family violence, if the individual cope with the stress through stress management procedure, he or she can prevent the internet addiction, and provides the clue how to develop the consulting and cure program of internet addiction.
