Now, we are living in the social structure of competition which is composed by the main currents like globalization and knowledge-based economy system.
In recent environments as above, corporate organizations are putting forth their strength to secure competitive advantage.
To attain it, they are setting up many strategies and policies that are included human resource development policies.
That is, human is the most important factor in companies.
In the midst of these interests about human, there is social capital is the goodwill available to individuals or groups(Alder & Kwon, 2002).
It is composed of trust, reciprocal norms and network(cooperation and sharing information in organization).
On the basis of situational and theoretical backgrounds as above, this study was intended to find promoting factors social capital and ascertain whether it effects on organizational commitment.

To empirical study for test a model as above, 270 questionnaires were distributed to 9 companies in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam area which had 100 employees and over.
The collected data were analyzed by using the statistical package for social sciences(SPSS) to test hypotheses.
In this analysis, some meaningful results were founded.
Firstly, social capital was formed and promoted by many factors.
There were scholarly attainments, an annual salary, a level of positions in individual among individual socioeconomic settings.
And strong ties and structural holes that ego was having in one's group, good organizational climate and participating and acting informal organizations were impacted on forming social capital.
Secondly, it was found that social capital(trust, cooperation and sharing information in organization) effected on commitment of employees.
Finally, social capital was mediated between its antecedents and organizational commitment.
