This study has been performed to investigate impacts of sociodemographic aspects on the self integration feeling of the elderly. In this study, 402 elderly aged 65 or more were interviewed about what they were satisfied or dissatisfied with six dimensions of Erickson's self-integration questions. In this study, age, education, having religion, and number of generations living together were factors most influential on the self integration; older elders, low education, religious, and those who live in extended families showed the higher score of the self integration than the others. Therefore in this study, it was suggested that the authorities develop a variety of education programs and emotional wellbeing guidelines for the younger elderly without religion nor grandchildren. In addition, standardized images and good will episodes of the elderly activities need be provided by welfare service agencies, in order to improve public images on the elderly. Intensive adjustment programs for the younger elders in special needs should be developed in collaboration with various community societies and family counselling institutions, so that the they are relieved from anxieties of the idea of getting into later life.
