다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

I have attempted in this study to propose a systematic description of overlapping construction in modern Korean by comprehensive analysis of overlapping endings. The study deals with the syntactic constraints on overlapping construction with regard to Mood, Tense, Infinitive Mood and Particles.
Like this we have made a study of the overlapping construction in modern Korean, and then, the next is summary of being acquired conclusion.
1. In common with, overlapping endings are to be attributed to repetition meaning and each endings have peculiarity meaning.
2. There are three views on the overlapping construction disposition.
① Traditional Grammar's point deals with the phrases of the auxiliary verbs.
② Generative Grammar's point deals with the embedded sentence construction.
③The point of adjoining phrase.
This study regards overlapping construction as embedded sentence construction.
3. Overlapping endings list
①. Repetition : 「-(i¨)rak ~ -(i¨)rak」, 「-go ~ -go」「-gΛni ~ -gΛni」, 「-(i¨)mjΛnsΛ ~ -(i¨)mjΛnSΛ」「-ta(ga) ~ -ta(ga)」
②. Alternative : 「-gΛna ~ -gΛna」, 「-tint∫i ~ -tint∫i」
③. In 「AX BX」 construction, phycological distance fromA toB

4. The overlapping construction's type is distinguished 'AX BX' type and 'AX malX, AX an AX' type. 'AX malX' construction is most productive, and 'AX anAX' construction is lest productive, when concentrated on the generative process. (in 'AX malX' construction, 「-go」overlapping construction is constrained)
5. The following is overlapping construction's syntactic peculiarity, except from Grammar Catego's peculiarity. ① It established partly [[(A)A']A"] construction. ② Overlapping construction's predicate can have each object and adverb. ③ Expecially overlapping ending makes sentence to double embedded sentence. (the case of A and B are sentence, in 「AX BX」 construction)
6. The following is Mood in overlapping construction
① Overlapping ending is constrained strictly because it doesn't have mood ending.
② Higher predicate 「hada」 makes realize Mood, Auditory Honorific in manner of uniting with overlapping ending
7. Honorific in overlapping construction are two manners
① All higher and lower predicates are possible
② Only higher predicates is possible
8. Tense in overlapping construction are two manners
① Embedded sentence construction is strictly restrained
② Higher predicate is restrained from condition of hailing embedded sentence and subject
9. In overlapping construction, Infinitive Mood is distinguished mal-infinitive mood and an-infinitive mood. an-infinitive mood complement with mal-infinitive mood
10. Between overlapping endings, 「-go ~ -go」 ending is free in uniting with Particle, partly 「-tint∫i ~ -tint∫i」 ending and 「-(gΛ)na ~ -(gΛ)na」ending unite with Particle, because 「-go」 ending is quotative particle's peculiarity and alternative endings act to NP. only partly overlapping ending unite with Particle
11. 「ida」 proves that overlapping construction functions to NP, when overlapping endings unite [-da]
By this time, I systematized the overlapping construction iii Modern Korean and researched the syntactic peculiarity. Morphology is important in Korean Grammar system. on this point overlapping construction is peculiarity in Korean. This shows that peculiarity construction also has rule and principle. this study's significant is that it argues about overlapping construction in same place. but overlapping construction are also revealed in Korean. this is study homework about the overlapping construction
