음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동이 유아의 음악 지능에 미치는 영향 = (The) Effects of musical hearing-based multiple representation activities on the young children's musical intelligence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동이 유아의 음악 지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴봄으로써, 유치원 현장에서 유아의 음악 지각 능력과 음악 표현 능력 발달을 위한 바람직한 음악 감상 활동으로 활용할 수 있는 기초 자료를 마련하는데 그 목적과 의의가 있다.
이와 같은 목적에 따라 설정된 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동이 유아의 음악 지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?
1-1. 음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동이 유아의 음악 지각 능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?
1-2. 음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동이 유아의 음악 표현 능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?
본 연구의 대상은 충북 청주시에 소재한 Y 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 52명으로 실험 집단 27명(남아 11명, 여아 16명), 통제 집단 25명(남아 10명, 여아 15명)이었다. 대상 유아의 연령분포는 5년 3개월에서 5년 7개월이었으며, 평균 연령은 5년 5개월이다. 연구 도구는 유아의 음악 지능을 평가하기 위하여 Harvard Project Zero 연구팀이 개발한 프로젝트 스펙트럼(Project Spectrum)평가 도구의 7개 지능 영역 도구 중 음악 지능 검사도구로 음악 지능의 하위요소인 강영수(1999)가 번안한 음악 표현 능력 검사도구와 이미옥(2003)이 번안한 음악 지각 능력 검사 도구를 본 연구자가 수정·보완하여 사용하였다.
연구 문제를 검증하기 위하여 두 집단 유아들의 사전검사와 사후검사에서 얻은 음악 지능 검사 점수의 차를 구하여 집단별 평균 증가점수에 대한 t검증을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동은 유아의 음악 지능에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
첫째, 음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동은 유아의 음악 지각 능력에 긍정적인 효과가 있다.
둘째, 음악 감상에 기초한 다중 표상 활동은 유아의 음악 표현 능력에 긍정적인 효과가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of Musical Hearing-Based Multiple Representation Activities on the young children's Musical Intelligence.
For the purpose, the following research questions were formulated :
1. What's the effects of Musical Hearing-Based Multiple Representation Activities on young children's Musical Intelligence?
1-1. What's the effect of Musical Hearing-Based Multiple Representation Activities on young children's ability to make musical discriminations?
1-2. What's the effect of Musical Hearing-Based Multiple Representation Activities on young children's performance on the singing activity?
The subjects of this study were 52 five-year-old children(experimental group 27 and control group 25) who belong to Y Kindergarten, which is located in Cheong-ju in the Chung-buk province. The age ranges of the subjects were between 5 years 3 months and 5 years 7 months and the average age was 5 years 5 months.
The instrument that was used for this study is 「Music Intelligence Domain Measures」of Project Spectrum which was studied and developed by Harvard Project Zero Developmental Staff and later revised by Kang, Young-Soo(1999), Lee, Mi-Ok(2003).
In order to understand the effect of which Music Hearing-Based Multiple representation Activities influence the young children's Musical Intelligence, the t-test was put into operation. The data gained from the research was analyzed using a SPSS 10.0 computer program.
The results of this study were as follows :
The Music Hearing-Based Multiple representation Activities positively influenced the young children's Musical Intelligence.
First, The Music Hearing-Based Multiple representation Activities positively influenced the young children's ability to make musical discriminations.
Second, The Music Hearing-Based Multiple representation Activities positively influenced the young children's performance on the singing activity.
The results shows that the young children's Musical Intelligence improved through the Music Hearing-Based Multiple representation Activities. So the Music Hearing-Based Multiple representation Activities are of great educational value.
