유아의 청취능력 향상을 위한 작품선곡의 연구 = (A) Study of the selection of the musical pieces for the improvement of the listening

국문 초록 (Abstract)

유아기는 인간발달 과정 중 가장 기초적 시기이고 결정적 시기로써, 감각적인 자극과 적절한 문화적 경험을 통하여 균형적이고 조화로운 성장발달이 가능한 교육환경이 제공되어질 필요가 있다.
이 시기에 발생하는 유아의 인지, 언어, 사회, 음악, 정서 등에 관련된 교육의 중요성 중 음악교육은 바람직한 음악적 자극을 통하여 유아의 생활을 생기있고 유익하게 이끌 수 있다. 그 중에서도 음악감상은 모든 음악의 기초로써 음악의 예술적 능력에 민감하게 반응하는 능력이라 할 수 있다. 또한 유아의 음악에 대한 동기 부여의 원천이며, 어린이들에게 음악을 애호하는 심정을 환기시켜 음악을 보다 깊이 이해할 수 있도록 하는 음악교육의 추진력이다.
유아의 음악감상은 균형적이고 조화로운 음악을 통해 어떤 현상이나 다양한 소리, 언어 등을 처음부터 끝까지 주의 깊게 들을 수 있게 하여 그들의 수준에서 음악을 듣고 지각하며 효과를 느끼고 반응할 수 있는 음악경험이 되어야 한다.
그러나 이러한 감상의 중요성에도 불구하고 현재의 유아기 감상교육은 배경음악을 통한 간접감상의 경우만을 가끔 사용하며, 단순한 소리식별만을 강조할 뿐 음의 움직임과 음악적 감각을 느끼지 못한 채 듣기만 하는 수동적인 음악활동에만 국한되어 있다. 또한 풍부한 음악감상의 재료인 악곡의 선정에 있어서 다양성이나 점진성, 음악교육 목표에 제시된 음악의 구성요소 등은 고려하지 않고 무분별하게 악곡을 선정함으로써 청각적 능력의 발달에 있어 가장 중요한 시기의 아이들의 능력을 충분히 키워주지 못하고 있다.
이에 본 논문에서는 유아들의 청취능력을 향상시키기 위한 음악 레퍼토리를 선정함으로써 아이들이 그들의 수준에서 음악을 듣고, 그 음악의 정서적 영향을 감지하며 멜로디와 리듬에 대해 지각하며 사고하고, 그 아름다움에 반응하는 모든 종류의 음악적 경험을 이끌어 줄 수 있도록 하였다.
악곡선정의 다양성의 면에 있어서는 세계의 모든 국민과 문화를 대표하는 음악들 중 동요, 고전음악, 국악을 중심으로 여러 가지 스타일과, 여러 다른 사회, 역사적으로 다양한 시기의 여러 종류의 음악들을 선곡하였다.
유아들에게 가장 친숙하고 어렵지 않게, 흥미롭게 다가갈 수 있는 감상곡의 기초소재로는 동요나 전래동요, 민요를 시작으로 하였으며 악곡속의 공통된 요소를 찾아 점차 발전되고 확대된 높은 수준의 악곡인 고전음악, 국악곡들을 선택하였다. 유아에게 어렵다고 생각될 수 있는 이러한 악곡의 경우에는 유아 자신의 성숙수준과 음악적인 이해의 단계에 맞게 음악에 반응하도록 유도해 내는 방법을 찾아 신체적 활동이나 그림 그리기의 활동을 통합하여 감상할 수 있는 통합적인 면을 고려하여 선정하였다.
또한 음악교육의 목표에 포함되는 개념 중 유아들이 감상하며 신체표현을 할 수 있는 리듬 중심의 곡과, 서정적이고 아름다운 멜로디 중심의 곡, 각 악기의 특색을 알아볼 수 있는 음색에 따른 곡, 유아들의 창의적인 상상력의 세계를 마음껏 펼칠 수 있는 표현내용이 있는 곡으로 나누어 작품을 선곡하였다.
이러한 조화롭게 구성된 음악감상을 통해 박자와 선율의 변화를 접함으로써 유아들의 리듬 감각과 음악적 감각이 키워지게 되고 유아에 대한 청각적 자극을 통해 청취능력이 향상될 뿐만 아니라 두뇌 발달에 많은 영향을 주어 아이의 지적 성장에도 많은 도움을 줄 것이다.
따라서 본 연구는 유아들의 모든 종류의 음악적 감각 발달을 위하여 감상곡을 선정, 활용함으로써 그들의 수준에서 음악의 요소를 경험하고 음악의 정서적 영향을 감지하며 보다 본질적인 음악의 아름다움을 찾는 심미적 경험을 할 수 있도록 이끄는 데 그 의의를 두었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The infancy period is the most basic period and the most decisive period among the processes of human development. There is the need for an education environment through which balanced and harmonious growth developments are possible through sensual stimulations and appropriate cultural experiences.
Among the importances of the education related to the awareness, languages, societies, music, and emotions taking place during this period, especially music education can lead the lives of the infants to be animated and beautiful through beautiful and regular musical stimulations. In particular, appreciating music is the origin of the endowment of the motives regarding music. And, it is the propelling force of the musical education which makes the children more deeply understand music by rousing the feelings of loving music.
By making the infants delicately and deeply attentively listen to certain phenomena, a diversity of sounds, languages, etc., from the beginning to the end through balanced and harmonious music, musical appreciation must encourage musical experiences through which music can be listened to and perceived and the effects of the music can be felt and responded to on their level.
However, despite the importance of such appreciations, the appreciation education for the infancy period, at present, is limited to the passive activities of only hearing without feeling the movements of the sounds and the musical sensations, while simply using only the cases of indirect appreciations through background music and the simple distinctions of the sounds.
Also, with regard to the selection of the musical pieces, which are the ingredients of affluent music appreciation, the diversity, gradual progress, and the composition elements of the music presented by the goal of the music education have not been considered. Rather, by indiscretely choosing the musical pieces, the abilities of the children in the period which is most important for the development of the auditory capabilities have not been properly raised.
As such, in this thesis, by selecting the musical repertoires for improving the listening capabilities of the infants, with respect to the qualitative aspects and the diversities of music, it has been made so that the guidance toward all kinds of musical experiences, through which the children can listen to the music on their level, perceive the emotional influences, perceive and think about the melodies and the rhythms, and respond to the beauties, can be possible.
With regard to the aspect of the diversity of the selections of the musical pieces, many types of music centered on children's songs, classical music, and Korean classical music among the good pieces of music that represent all the citizens and cultures of the world from many styles, many different societies, and historically diverse periods have been selected.
As the basic materials for the appreciation which can most familiarly, easily, and interestingly approach the infants, the beginning was made with children's songs, traditional children's songs, and folk songs. The most basic materials were children's songs. If the method induces the reactions to the music that fit the children's maturity levels and the musical understandings and stages, the theory is that whatever the music might be it can be used for children's music education. Based on this theory, classical music and pieces of Korean classical music, which are high-level pieces of music that have been gradually developed and expanded, have been selected by finding the common elements among the pieces of music. In the case of these musical pieces, the selections were made by considering the integral aspects, through which physical activities and the activities of drawings and paintings can be integrated and appreciated.
Also among the concepts included in the goals of musical education, the divisions have been made among the rhythm-centered musical pieces with which the infants can appreciate and engage in physical expressions, the musical pieces centered on the lyrical and beautiful melodies, and the musical pieces resulting from the tone qualities with which the specific features of each musical instrument can be noticed. And, the selections have been made by distinguishing the musical pieces which contain the contents of expressions with which the infants can unfold to their hearts' content the world of their own original imagination abilities.
Through the appreciation of such harmoniously-organized music, by coming in contact with the changes of the rhythms and melodies, the sensations of the rhythms and the musical sensations can be cultivated. And, not only are the auditory capabilities improved through the auditory stimulations regarding the children, but also a lot of influences will be made on the development of the brain. And, it will provide a lot of help to the intellectual growths of the children.
Hence, the significance of this research lies in making possible the aesthetic experience of experiencing the elements of music on the infants' level, the perceptions of the emotional influences of music, and the finding of the more essential beauties of music by selecting and utilizing the pieces of music for appreciation for all types of developments of the musical perceptions of the infants.
