미술비평방법을 활용한 효율적인 미술감상지도 방안 연구 = (A) Study of effective way of art appreciation using the methods of art criticism

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인간은 일상생활 속에서 언제나 가치 판단의 선택 상황에 처하여 자기 나름의 가치 선택 결단을 내리면서 삶을 영위해나가야 하는 존재이다. 그러기에 자기와 타자와의 관계 속에서나 혹은 일상 생활에서 외부로부터 다가오는 수많은 정보에 대해서도 올바른 가치 판단과 선택의 능력이 필요하다.
미술감상지도는 평생을 살아가면서 복잡하기 이를 데 없는 현대 미술을 접하게 될 우리 학생들에게 미술을 생활 속에서 향유할 수 있는 태도를 길러 삶을 아름답고 윤택하게 가꿀 수 있도록 하는 것이다.
본 연구는 미술감상지도에 있어서 미술비평의 중요성을 인식하고 교육현장에서 미술비평방법을 활용한 미술감상지도를 통하여 현대사회의 수많은 시각적 정보에 비평적 시각을 갖도록 하는데 목적이 있다.
이 연구의 목적을 위하여 Ⅱ장에서는 미술감상의 개념과 의의, 방법 및 미술감상과 미술비평의 연계성에 대하여 알아보았다.
미술감상은 미술교육에 있어 중요한 부분이고 미술비평은 미술감상지도에서 중요한 부분이 된다. 미술감상에서 미술비평을 활용하는 것은 고도의 정보화와 다문화 사회에서 올바른 정보의 선택과 판단능력을 키울 수 있는 하나의 교육적 대안이 된다. 그러므로 미술감상과 미술비평과의 관계를 살펴보고 다양한 방법론을 고찰해 보았다.
Ⅲ장에서는 미술감상의 실태 파악을 위하여 교육과정과 교과서 분석 그리고 교사를 대상으로 한 설문 조사를 하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 미술 감상 지도의 문제점이 있음을 알게 되었다. 첫째, 미술감상지도의 중요성은 교육과정이나 교사 스스로 인식하고 있음에도 불구하고 교육현장에서의 감상지도는 형식적이고 미술사의 요점만을 암기하고 있어 감상수업은 제대로 이루어지지 못하고 있었다. 둘째, 대부분의 교과서가 미술사적 설명이나 감상 작품의 나열식 접근방법을 벗어나지 못하고 있는 실정이었다.
효율적인 감상지도를 위해서는 교사의 미술비평에 대한 지식이 전제되어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 교사는 학생들에게 편협한 시각을 강요할 것이 아니라 미술비평방법을 활용하여 미술품의 다양한 분석과 해석을 할 수 있도록 학생들의 시지각을 확장시켜 주어야 할 것으로 분석되었다.
Ⅳ장에서는 미술비평방법을 활용한 미술감상지도 방안으로 펠드먼의 비평단계와 브라우디와 그리어의 미적 정사 단계를 활용한 미술감상 교수-학습 지도안을 제시하였다.
그러나 본 연구는 문헌 연구의 방법에 한정한 탓으로 실제 적용에서의 효율성은 검증하지 못하였다. 따라서 실제적인 활용을 위한 후속 연구가 필요하다고 본다. 이 논문을 토대로 하여 효율적인 감상지도방법에 접근해 가는 계속적인 연구가 이루어지길 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Human beings are the creatures who must do value judgement in every situation of everyday life on his own will. Therefore the ability to decide rightly and to choose considerately among the relation of self and others is indispensible.
The aims of art appreciation guidance is to enable the students in their whole life to live beautifully and richly by growing the attitude to enjoy arts in everyday life encountering our complex modern arts.
This research aims to achieve critical mind about so many visual informations in modern society by means of the art appreciation guidance using the method of art criticism in the real space of school education recognizing the importance of art appreciation guidance.
For this aim, in chapterⅡ, I suggested the concept of art appreciation, its value, methods, and explained the relation between art appreciation and art criticism.
Art appreciation occupy an important position in art education, so do art criticism in art appreciation guidance. Using art criticism in art appreciation is likely to function as an educational alternative to upgrade the ability to judge and choose rightly in a highly informed, multi-cultural society like ours. Inspecting the relation between art criticism and art appreciation, I analyzed many methods of it.
In chapterⅢ, I analyzed text-books, educational process and some question tables to understand real situations of art appreciation in school education and try to find the problem of art appreciation guidance and the way of improvement. In result, Problems of art appreciation guidance were found like followings. First, Its importance is recognized by teachers and in educational curriculums, but in real practice only knowledge of art history are being memorized and art appreciation classes are not practiced sufficiently.
Second, Many text books are no more than explaining historically and displaying art works one by one.
After all, We find by question tables that teachers must have knowledges about art criticism previously and should open to the students horisons to analyze and interpret art works variously using art criticism, Not forcing partial attitude about art works.
In chapter Ⅳ, I proposed the way of art appreciation guidance using the methods of art criticism. For example, Criticism steps by Feldman, and aesthetic steps of careful view by Broudy and Greer.
But this thesis focused on text study only, so the efficiency in practice was not verified. And subsequential study on pragmatic uses should be followed. From now on, I hope studies on efficient methods for art appreciation guidance will be continued.
