며느리가 지각한 고부갈등과 며느리의 결혼만족도의 관계 = (A) study on the Relationship between the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and the marital satisfaction of daughter-in-law

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고부갈등과 며느리의 결혼만족도의 관계를 파악하고 이 관계가 시어머니의 특성변인들 즉, 시어머니와의 경제적 관계, 시어머니의 사회참여·건강상태·결혼만족도 등의 요인들에 의해 의미있는 영향을 받는지 살펴보고자 한다.
본 연구의 대상은 서울시에 거주하고 있는 며느리와 시어머니 68쌍이었다. 측정도구로는 결혼만족도를 측정하기 위하여 Roach의 MSS척도를 사용하였으며 고부갈등척도는 이기숙(1985)의 척도를 사용하였고 시어머니의 특성변인들과 기타 며느리의 사회인구학적 변인에 관한 설문지를 사용하였다. 자료는 직접 방문하여 개별적으로 면접하면서 설문지를 배부한 후 회수하는 방법으로 얻었다. 수집된 자료에 대해 SAS Program을 이용하여 신뢰도 검증, 요인분석, 빈도분석, 상관관계분석, 회귀분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
1. 며느리의 결혼만족도와 권위에 따른 갈등, 남편을 둘러싼 갈등, 집안살림에 관한 갈등, 자녀양육에 관한 갈등 등의 4가지 영역의 고부갈등은 유의한 관계가 있었다. 즉, 며느리가 고부관계에서 느끼는 갈등의 정도가 낮을수록 며느리의 결혼만족도는 높았다.
2. 며느리의 결혼만족도와 유의한 관련이 있는 며느리의 사회인구학적 변인은 총수입이었고 시어머니의 특성변인은 시어머니의 결혼만족도로서, 총수입이 많을수록 시어머니의 결혼만족도가 높을수록 며느리의 결혼만족도는 높았다.
3. 고부간의 갈등영역 중에서는 남편을 둘러싼 갈등만이 시어머니의 건강, 가정의 총수입과 유의한 관계가 있어 시어머니의 건강이 좋을수록, 총수입이 많을수록 남편을 둘러싼 고부간의 갈등이 적었다.
이외의 다른 고부간의 갈등 영역들 - 권위에 따른 갈등, 집안살림에 관한 갈등, 자녀양육에 관한 갈등 - 은 시어머니의 특성변인들과 며느리의 사회인구학적인 변인들과 아무런 유의한 관계를 보이지 못했다.
4. 며느리의 결혼만족도에 대한 고분간의 갈등의 상대적인_.영향력을 알아보기 위한 중다회귀분석한 결과, 며느리의 사회인구학적인 변인이 통제된 상태에서 권위에 따른 갈등, 남편의 둘러싼 갈등, 집안살림에 관한 갈등은 총수입과 함께 며느리의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 자녀양육에 관한 갈등의 경우에는 며느리의 연령 및 총수입과 함께 며느리의 결혼만족도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다.
5. 시어머니의 특성변인에 따른 며느리의 결혼만족도와 고부간의 갈등과의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 시어머니의 특성변인들 중 시어머니의 결혼만족도만이 고부간의 갈등과 며느리의 결혼만족도와의 관계를 변화시켰다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to help daughter-in-law living better marital life by investgating the relationships between in-laws conflict and marital satisfaction, and the effect of mother-in-law characteristic on that relationships.
To reach these golds, 68 mother-in-law and 68 daughter-in-law in Seoul were selected by the random sampling. And this study checked on their personal character, the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, the marital satisfaction of daughter-in-law and the Relationship among these variables.
For the study, four dimension of variables are established.
First dimension is consist of personal character about daughter-in-law.
Second dimension is consist of personal character about mother-in-law.
Third dimension is consist of the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
Fourth dimension is consist of the marital satisfaction of daughter-in-law.
As tools of measurement Roach's scale and Lee's scale was used.
SAS program was used for data anlysis, and the data were verified by correlation anlysis, factor anlysis and Multiple regression.
The major results of this study are summarized as follows:
1. The daughter-in-law have a great marital satisfaction when they have less conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
2. The daughter-in-law have a great marital satisfaction when they have much money and high level of mother-in-law's marital satisfaction.
Among the conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law have a little conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law when they have much money and mother-in-law's good health.
3. The effects of daughter-in-law's marital satisfaction are concerned with the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and mother-in-law's marital satisfaction. Also, the effects of mother-in-law's marital satisfaction are concerned with the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
