아동이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 아동의 성격형성 = Nurturing Attitude of Parents that Children Recognize and Personality Development of Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동이 지각한 부모의 양육태도가 아동의 성격형성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 더불어 남·여 아동의 성격형성에 부와 모의 바람직한 양육태도 영역은 무엇인지 알아보고자 하였다.
연구의 대상은 서울 시내의 한 초등학교 6학년 학생 150명을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 연구를 위한 설문지로는 오성심·이종승의 '양육태도 진단검사'와 송인섭의 '성격 진단 검사'를 사용하였다.
수집된 자료 처리 및 분석은 부모의 양육태도가 아동의 성격 형성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 다중 회귀분석을 실시하였으며 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 부모의 양육태도 중 애정 영역이 아동의 책임성, 우월성, 지배성 성격형성에 영향을 주고 있으며, 성취 영역은 아동의 지배성 성격형성에 유의하게 영향을 미치고 있다.
둘째, 어머니의 양육태도 중 애정 영역이 여자 아동의 책임성, 자율성, 우월성, 지배성 등 모든 성격형성에 유의하게 영향을 미치고 있다. 반면에 남자 아동의 경우 어머니의 양육태도 중 성취 영역이 남자 아동의 책임성, 자율성, 지배성 성격 형성에 유의하게 영향을 미치고 있다.
셋째, 아버지의 양육태도 중 애정 영역이 여자 아동의 책임성, 지배성 성격형성에 유의하게 영향을 미치고 있다. 아버지의 양육태도 중 성취 영역이 남자 아동의 책임성, 자율성, 지배성 성격형성에, 애정 영역이 남자 아동의 우월성 성격형성에 유의하게 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다.
이처럼 남·여 아동의 경우 부모로부터 서로 다른 양육태도 영역에 의해 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 따라서 여자 아동의 성격형성에는 애정적인 양육태도를, 남자 아동의 성격형성에는 성취적 양육태도를 견지하는 것이 바람직하다고 할 수 있다.
이상의 자료를 종합해 보면 아동의 성격형성은 분명 부모의 양육태도에 영향을 받고 있으며, 특히 부모의 애정적인 양육태도는 아동의 책임성, 우월성, 지배성을 촉진시켜준다고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to consider the effect of the nurturing attitude of parents that children recognize as it relates to their personality development. Along with this, the study aims for a desirable nurturing attitude of parents in developing the personality of both male and female children.
A study was performed on 150 elementary 6th grade students, and as the questionnaire for the study, the 'Examination of Nurturing Attitude' of Sung-sim Oh and Jong-seung Lee, and the 'Examination of Personality' of In-sup Song were applied.
A multiple regression analysis was utilized in processing and analyzing the collected data in order to discover the influence of the nurturing attitude of parents on the personality development of children, and the following are the research results:
First, from the nurturing attitude of parents, affection was found to influence personality development in the responsibility, superiority and controllability aspects of children, and as well, accomplishment influenced significantly on the personality development of controllability.
Second, from the nurturing attitude of mothers, it was found that affection influences significantly on all areas of personality development such as responsibility, self-regulation, superiority and controllability of female children. For male children, on the other hand, accomplishment of the nurturing attitude of mothers was recognized to influence heavily on the personality development of responsibility, self-regulation and controllability.
Third, affection from the nurturing attitude of fathers was discovered to influence significantly on the personality development of responsibility and controllability traits.
Accomplishment from the nurturing attitude of fathers influenced on the responsibility, self-regulation and controllability of male children, while affection influences significantly on the personal development of superiority for male children.
As such, in the case of male and female children, they are heavily influenced by the different nurturing attitude areas of parents. Therefore, it is desirable to maintain an affectionate nurturing attitude for the personality development of female children, while maintaining an accomplishing, nurturing attitude for the personality development of male children.
To summarize the foregoing, children's personality formation is undoubtedly affected by the nurturing attitude of parents, and in particular, an affectionate nurturing attitude promotes responsibility, superiority and controllability of the child.
