This research recognizes whether volunteer's experience influences in attitude change toward the mentally ill about and it wishes to become basic research to reduce social prejudice of the mentally ill.
The purpose of the present study attempted in order to investigate in An-song citizens. 1) volunteer's experience that effect about attitude toward the mentally ill. 2) that effect about attitude toward the mentally ill. 3) volunteer's satisfaction that effect about attitude toward the mentally ill. The subjects were citizens(N=314) residing in An-song. The instrument used to measure attitude were community attitudes toward the mentally ill(CAM1) scale. The results were as follows.
The First, There was a significant difference between volunteer's experience and Authoritarianism, social restrictiveness, community mental health ideology.
The second, There was a significant difference between volunteer's education and Benevolence.
The third, There was a significant difference between volunteer's and Authoritarianism, Benevolence, Social restrictiveness, community mental health ideology.
As a result, volunteer's experience and volunteer's education can know that attitude toward the mentally ill is affirmative.
