예술고등학교의 음악 교육 과정에 대한 연구 : 호남지역을 중심으로 = Research about music curriculum in art high school : Honam region in priority

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Arts education has been an area of much concern and demand for higher quality of its direct experience as people live in comfortable circumstances through rapid development of scientific civilization. In particular, the role of arts education is to develop potential faculties and talents within students for the purpose of raising professionalist combining wisdom, virtue and healthy body.
Therefore, early education is required. However, there is a limit in our public education system in practicing diverse fields of arts education. To overcome this limitation and to plan for early education, arts school and arts high school were established. Starting from Seoul Private Arts High School in 1953, there was great increase of arts high school in number after 1980s-1990s.
In researching of music curriculums and course hours that are currently effective at arts high schools which are run autonomously as an exemplary at Honam region, the following problems were presented.
First of all, in case of specialized music subjects that arts high schools are carrying out , the education ministry notifies the subjects of curriculums. However, actually arts high schools are focusing on the subjects of the major field of study.
Secondly, an allotment and management of a specialized music curriculum are totally different by schools . Besides, to make students enter a school of higher grade, arts high schools increase the number of a practical class and neglect relatively theoretical music curriculums.
Thirdly, I found that the class of the utility music ( movie, animation, and computer music) that is produced to cope with rapidly a changing society is not taken well.
Lastly, research , which is about the system of operation of autonomous model schools, proves that there is a lack of autonomy in curriculum.
At the base of these points that I mentioned prior to, I would imply improvements to four aspects and offer proposals.
Firstly, the impression method, music studies, acoustics, chamber music etc. in addition to major should be provided by improving broadly music curriculums of arts high schools to enhance the quality of students as a musician.
Secondly, through diversifying the number of the music curriculum a week, the education should achieve to draw a plan about a reality of an entrance examination-centered education and to make students grow as a musical specialist.
Thirdly, a practical music curriculum that adapt ourselves to modern sense such as, movie, animation, computer ,and electronic music should be opened systematically and practically.
Lastly, autonomy of operation in education should be expanded in order that autonomy of art schools that are special high schools should be enlarged and the schools could not educate students passively , but actively.
I would expect that the result of this research would be a great help to arts high schools to prepare efficient data of curriculums in the actual.
