The purpose of this study was to Identify the effects which paper formative activity, which was a skill of artistic therapy, made on the Feduction of attention-deficit and impulsiveness of the children with ADHD(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). The fuestions were set to achieve the purpose of this study as follows.
First, did faper formative activity make an effect on the reduction of attention-deficit of the children with ADHD?
Second, did paper formative actlvity make an effect on the reduction of impulsiyeness of the children with ADHD?
Third, what change of attention-deficit and impulsiveness by the session did the paper formative activity cause to the activities of the children with ADHD?
The objects of the this were 2 boys and a girl, who were decided as ADHD children in 'DSM-IV's diagnostic criteria for the child with attention-deficit and over behavioral disorder'and'Conners's simple criteria for the use of teacher', at M elementary school in Daegu. They practiced the paper formative activity program for 18 sessions twice or three times a week and their change was examined by Yale's criteria for children behavior to look through the resuft which the paper formative program caused. The behavioral change was compared and analysis by observation and fualitative ana]ysis by the session.
The conclusions which resulted from the study are as follows.
First, the paper formative activity made an effect on reduction of attention-deficit of the children with ADHD. As the program made the children concentrate on the paper formative activity, attention-deficit of the children with ABHD, who had kept moving without ceasing, was reduced.
Second, the paper formative activity made an effect on reduction of impulsiveness of the children with ADHD. The paper formative program, a skill of art therapy, could help to control the impulsive behavior and to reduce their careress behaviors that they made a noise, bother and disturb their friends, and didn't wait for their turn.
Third, the paper formative activity by the session caused the reduction of attention-deficit and impulsiveness of the children with ADHD. Even though the behavioral change of each child, A, 13 and C was relatively different by the researcher's direct observation, their attention-deficit and impulsiveness were reduced while heir attention- intensiveness was increased.
