The aim of this study is for theancement of high school students' overall fitness level by illuminationg the effects of circuit training and implementing, instead of typical warm-up in physical education class. This research is conducted with 48 male students in high school located at An-San City. The sugjects are divided into the experimental group (29) and the comparison group (29) for pretest. The experimental group is assigned circuit training while the comparison group is assigned typical warm-up training. Post test is conducted in 5 weeks to investigate;
1) The agility effects of a Round-trip 10m Dash on the experimental group demonstrated 0.27 second(5.11%) from 5.24 seconds to 5.08 seconds., whereas the comparison group decreased 0.16 second (3.05%). Both groups increased with a (p<.01) significance.
2) The sprinting effects of a Forward Leap on the experimental group domonstrated 11.94cm (5.15%) increase, whereas the comparison group increased 7.86cm (3.38%). Both groups increased with a (p<.01) sighnificance.
3) The strengthening effects of Pull-up on the experimental group demonstrated 1.69 (52.64%) increase, whereas the comparison group increasd 0.76 (23.67%). Both groups increased with a (p<.01) significance.
4) The respiration affects of an 800m Distance Running on the experimental group demonstrated 22.72 seconds (9.12%) decreased, whereas the comparison group decreased 15.83 seconds (6.91%). Both groups decreased with a (p<.01) significance.
In conclusion, circuit training improves general well being by simultaneously accommodating the masses with diverse activities. Therefore, circuit training is much more effective in achieving physicla fitness than just typical warm-up training.
