      A Study on the Actual State of Infant Education of Music Concept
      -Focused on the Gyeong Buk Area Kindergarten and the Nursery-

      (Abstract)
      The objective of this study is to search an activation plan of the music concept education of infant by analyzing and studying the actual state about how well the kindergarten which is an infant education institution and the teachers teaching a music at nursery understand and apply the music basic concept(dynamics, tempos, rhythm, pitches, tone, harmony, form), and whether they have a difference for each career in the content of music activity.
      This study was carried out through literature investigation and site questionnaire, the persons to question were the teachers of the kindergartens and the nurseries, and the content of the questionnaire were the question about the teaching attitude of the teachers about music education activity, the question about the recognition of the basic music concept, the question about the utilization degree of the basic music concept and the question related to the musical expression activity(singing, treating instrument, body expression, and listening to music).
      According to the result of the questionnaire, the teachers of higher degree have increased a lot. And about the basic concept factor constituting music they almost understand dynamics, tempos, and rhythm, but not well melody, tone, harmony, and form. In utilizing the concept of dynamics, tempos, rhythm, pitches and form, it was proven that the teachers of the older career have the higher degree of lesson utilization so that the music education in university should be changed into a university education course actually suited to the site condition. Still, it was proven that the teachers below 5 years career deal singing and accompaniment more importantly among the activation degree of the concept of harmony than the teachers over 5 years career so that piano education in university seems to be dealt importantly. The teachers having higher career wholly showed self-confidence about the activity guidance for the development of music concept, so it was shown that the expansion of the opportunity of workshop and the constant self-development should be accompanied in order to resolve the difference of the recognition about music concept education in real situation. The guidance view of the teachers about the infant activity was shown to prefer the autonomous activity of infants, it was shown that the music guidance was dealt very importantly in the most infant music education institution. It means that the music education plays a significant role in the education emphasizing the creativity and the spontaneousness of infant and that the music education is the core of the character education for which the essence of the education is heading through an autonomous activity. These result showed that the most teachers recognize that the babyhood is an important period developing the musical ability of infants and recognize that the systematic music education should be achieved suited to the development stage of infants. According to this study in order to adapt the infant music concept education much better to the real situation, firstly, the musical capability of teachers should be improved by giving more opportunity of retraining like a workshop, a seminar, and so forth to teachers, and the education course of university should be reviewed and improved so as to be helpful to a teaching actually. Secondly, the concrete activity plan which can be helpful for teachers to understand about the music concept should be studied. Thirdly, the various program and the opportunity should be provided to teachers so as to give them an interest and a self-confidence about the activity for the music concept development promotion of infant.
