Empowerment is used as a way of autonomy and creation. Despite of the concern of management practice, empirical studies are very few. This study takes empowerment as a construct composed of four latent variables - meaning, competence, self-determination, impact.
Empowerment is a variables that is cognitive, continuous and active. So in this study, I focused on the intervening effect of empowerment on job satisfaction and organizational commitment with various ascendent variables.
Data were collected from 305 employee in 10-big-group white collars and path analysis, correlation analysis etc... were conducted for this study.
The result showed that various ascendent variables were influence on various empowerment variables and various empowerment latent variables were influence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment very differently. The result also showed that the model explained more, when empowerment variables were intervened.
The model is more explainable when the more variables are accepted, the more data are gathered, longitudinal study is conducted.
