While sex consciousness had little correlation with past and current life satisfaction, there was significant correlation with attitude to sex, sexual desire and sex significance, regarding future life satisfaction.
Finally, as a result of investigating the influence of sex consciousness on life satisfaction, the former had significant influence on the latter at the level of P<0.01 and degree of explanation of sex consciousness for life satisfaction corresponded to 4.97%. As nowadays the aging society has developed rapidly and consequently the population of the aged has increased more and more, the problem, 'Sex of the Aged' can in no way become trifle. It is exceedingly natural that the aged claim their right of sex as individual human beings so that the society should assume a more generous and positive attitude with respect to sex of the aged in order to encourage qualitative improvement of the aged life.
In conclusion, based on the above-mentioned results, suggestions are as follows;
First, change in the existing viewpoint for 'Sex of the Aged' is required keenly. The aged also have interest in and desire for sex like the youth. But, in fact, we have not acknowledged 'Sex of the Aged' with negative opinions until now.
Second, the social concern and support are required. As a part of doing so, the society should try to understand 'Sex of the Aged'.
Lastly, the role of the press is important. Because the Korean Government has held on underdeveloped policies regarding problems of the aged yet, we have no choice but to place our hope on the press capable of forming public opinion. If 'Sex of the Aged', the problem is understood correctly and becomes generally known all over the society, and is discussed as a social problem, more epochal measures will be prepared in future.
