A motivation writing this study, the effect of human personality education program on social skill of children with mental retardation, was because that children with mental retardation had many problems on social skill in school field.
Thus, the purpose of this study was to find out that how the constructing and applying of human personality education program had effect on social tendency and social development. The concrete purpose of this study were as follows:
First, it was find out that human personality education program had which effect on social skill of children with mental retardation in school.
Second, it was find out that human personality education program had which effect on inter-person relations skill.
Testing tool used in this study was social competency test standardized by Shin Hyn Kee in 1993.
The results of this study drawn from applying human personality education program to children with mental retardation were as follows:
First, human personality education program was effective to children with mental retardation in school.
Second, human personality education program was effective to the development of inter-person relations skill of children with mental retardation.
The suggestions drawn from results of this study were as follows :
First, it is hope that personality education program constructed and applied in this study is to apply
in school for children with mental retardation or
in special class.
Second, it is hope that personality education program constructed and applied in this study is to apply for the educable and mentally retarded children lacked in social skill.
