체육교과서에 대한 교사의 인식과 활용 실태 분석 = (An) Analysis of Tescher's Cognition on P.E. Textbook and its Practical Use

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 우리나라 체육교과서에 대한 교사들의 인식과 활용 실태를 분석함으로서 교과서 체제와 활용 방식의 문제점을 살펴보고 그 원인과 대안들을 모색해 보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 교사들이 생각하고 있는 바람직한 체육교과서와 현재 사용중인 체육교과서의 차이를 비교 분석한 후, 실제 수업에서 체육교과서가 어떤 방식으로 활용되고 있는지에 대해 분석하였다.
본 연구의 대상은 수도권에 소재한 중학교 체육교사로서 총 120명이 연구대상으로 선정되었다. 이 중 실제분석에 사용된 자료는 불성실하게 응답한 자료로 판단되거나 조사내용의 일부가 누락된 18명의 설문지를 제외한 102명이었다.
본 연구에서 사용한 설문지는 인구통계학적 특성, 바람직한 체육 교과서와 현재 사용중인 체육교과서의 비교, 체육교과서의 활용실태와 방식, 교과서를 배제한 체육수업의 원인 및 대안의 4개 영역으로 구성되었다.
자료분석을 위하여 본 연구에서는 설문지 문항특성에 따라 빈도와 백분율을 구했으며, 배경특성에 따른 집단간의 차이검증이 요구되는 경우에는 x^(2)(chi-square) 검증을 실시하였다.
이와 같은 자료수집, 분석과정 및 논의를 통해 얻어진 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 교사들이 생각하고 있는 바람직한 체육교과서와 현재 사용 중인 체육교과서 간에는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 체육교과서의 난이도, 기능, 내용 및 구성방식, 외형적 체제, 체육교과서 개발 등에 있어서 바람직한 체육교과서와 현재 사용중인 체육교과서에 대한 교사들의 인식은 차이를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 체육교과서의 활용실태와 활용방식은 이론수업과 실기수업에서 다르게 나타났으며, 체육교과서 외 교수-학습 자료의 종류는 비교적 다양하지만 활용빈도는 낮았다.
셋째, 수업현장에서 체육교과서를 소홀하게 다룰 수밖에 없는 이유에 대해, 교사들은 교사의 교재연구 및 수업연구 노력 부족을 가장 큰 원인으로 지적하였다. 한편, 교과서를 배제한 체육수업에 대한 대안으로 교사의 교재연구 및 수업연구 노력 이외에도 교육현장과 적합한 교과서 내용의 선정을 중요한 대안으로 생각하고 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the teachers' cognition on P.E. textbook and its practical use, and the cause and alternatives of P.E. instruction which was excluded textbook.
For the study, the subject set up was that analysis difference ideal P.E. texbook and practical P.E. textbook, and on how P.E. textbook use in real P.E. class.
The analysis was based on the subsample 102 P.E. teachers of middle school drawn from capital region.
This study used data collected for "An Analysis of Teachers' Cognition on P.E. Textbook and its practical Use" which was classified into four areas: demographical characteristics, the difference between a cognition on the idea type of P.E. textbook and the current one in usage, the practical use P.E. textbook, instruction of excluding textbook, and their cause and alternatives.
The collected data were processed by frequency analysis, after the fact, if there were meaningful differences they were analyzed by x^(2) (chi-square).
The major result of this study were as follow.
First, there was a difference between the ideal type of P.E. textbook and the practical P.E. textbook in use. It means that the P. E. textbook in use are far from the ideal type of P.E textbook.
Second, In practical use, the actual condition and method of P.E textbook were different in practical class and theoretical class. And besides P.E texbook, the kinds of teaching-learning materials are various, but frequency of use is low.
Third, About what P.E textbook was dealt roughly, most teachers pointed that the major cause is the lack of teacher's effort. On the other hand, about excluding textbook, except studying and effort of teachers, most teachers thought that the contents of a textbook and the scene of education must be selected as an alternative proposal.
