      The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of art therapy on aggression of elementary school students. The research questions of this study were as follows : First, will art therapy decrease elementary school student's external aggression? Second, will art therapy decrease elementary school student's internal aggression?
      The subjects of this study were 16 first grade children who showed aggression on high level in pretest. Children were selected from on elementary school in Taejon metropolitan city.
      These 16 children randomly divided and assigned into an experimental group of 8 and control group of 8. To perform this study, the experimental group participated in art therapy program of 20 sessions for 10 weeks (two days a weeks, 50 minutes per session).
      The result and discussion of this study were as follows : First, the level of the external aggression of experimental group significantly decreased compared with that of the control group. Second, the level of the internal aggression of experimental group significantly decreased compared with that of the control group.
      In conclusion, findings of this study suggest that art therapy be used as an effective way of elementary school student's aggression.
