부모-청소년 자녀간 의사소통과 가족응집성 및 적응성과의 관계 = Relations between Parent-Adolescent Communication and the Family Cohesion and Adaptability

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the Demographic variables which determine parent - Adolescent Communication and the family cohesion and Adaptability. This study was intended to examine the relations between Parent - Adolescent Communication type and family cohesion, adaptability level.
The subjects of this study were 434 middle, high school students in Seoul.
Olson et al's (1982) Parent - Adolescent communication scale (PACS) and family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scales, version Ⅱ (FACES Ⅱ) were used t o measure parent - Adolescent Communication and family Adaptability and Cohesion.
For the statistical analysis of data T - test, F - test, Pearson's r, Multiple regression and Cronbach's α for reliability were performed.
The main results were as follows;
1. Adolescent's sex, age, the number of child in the family, father's job status, and mother's employment were the significant variables for the parent-Adolescent open communication.
2. Adolescent's age, the number of child in the family, parent's education and father's job status were the significant variables for the Family cohesion and Adaptability.
3. The highest family cohesion and Adaptability was related to parent-Adolescent open communication, while the lowest family cohesion and adaptability was related to problems in communication.
