제7차 교육과정에서의 기술·가정 교과에 대한 중학생들의 태도 연구 = (A) study on middle school student attitude toward technology and home economics in the 7th national curricula

국문 초록 (Abstract)

과학기술의 급속한 발달은 우리의 사회생활과 가정생활에 많은 변화를 가져왔고, 이전에 비해 더 많은 삶의 영역에서 기술의 도움을 받으면서 생활하고 있다. 이로 인한 기술습득 필요성의 증가와 사회적 분위기에 따라 기술에 대한 학생들의 관심은 변화되고 있다.
이 연구에서는 기술·가정교과에 대하여 중학생들은 어떤 태도를 가지고 있고, 이러한 태도형성에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지를 분석하여, 교과에 대한 학생들의 긍정적 태도 함양을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
이 연구의 수행을 위하여 서울시에서 남자중학교 1개 학교와 여자중학교 1개 학교, 그리고 남녀공학 중학교 1개 학교를 임의로 선정하고, 선정한 학교의 3학년 각 5개 학급의 학생 전원에게 설문조사를 실시하였다.
본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 기술·가정교과에 대한 태도
기술·가정교과의 내용과 수업에 대한 각 항목별 학생들의 태도점수는 전반적으로 태도척도 평균점수인 3점 이하로 나타났다. 특히 기술·가정교과의 중요도, 교과 선호도, 교과흥미도에 대하여 학생들의 태도점수가 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다.
2. 기술·가정교과의 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인
고교입시와의 관련성에 대한 인식, 수업목표 제시여부, 학습자료 활용도가 학생들에게 전반적으로 유의미한 정적(+)영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 희망직업과 교과 성적은 학생들의 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
이 연구의 결과를 통하여 기술·가정교과에 대한 학생들의 태도에 대해 다음과 같이 결론을 내릴 수 있다.
기술·가정교과에 대한 학생들의 평균 태도점수가 낮게 나타나 학생들이 교과에 대하여 대체로 부정적인 태도를 가지고 있음을 알 수 있고, 고교입시와 수업목표 제시, 그리고 학습자료의 활용이 학생들의 태도에적인 태도와 사고를 가질 수 있도록 명확한 수업목표의 제시와 함께 다양한 학습자료를 활용하고, 학생들의 이해증진과 수업의 질적 향상을 위하여 교과에 대하여 전문 많은 영향을 미침을 알 수 있다.
따라서, 학생들이 기술·가정교과에 대하여 긍정적인 지식을 갖춘 교사의 양성과 충분한 수업 시수의 확보, 실습기회의 확대로 학생 스스로 흥미와 관심을 가지고 참여할 수 있도록 유도하는 교육내용의 재발이 필요하다 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The rapid advance in science and technology has brought a lot of changes to our lives in society and home, and we are increasingly reliant on technology in more fields than before. As it's required to acquire different skills and keep abreast with social trend, students are paying growing attention to technology.
The purpose of this study was to examine the way students looked at technology and home economics and what affected their perception, in a bid to pave the way for them to take a more positive attitude on it.
The findings of this study were as follows:
1. Attitude
Regarding attitude toward technology and home economics, students scored less than 3 points, which was below the average. They didn't view the subjects as important, and their preference and interest were rated very low.
2. Factors Affecting Their Attitude
The attitude of the students toward the classes were significantly and positively under the influence of their relationship to high-school admission, whether or not the objects of classes were presented, and how much learning materials were put to use. Their dream job and school grades had no significant impact on that.
On the basis of the above-mentioned findings, the following conclusion was reached:
'The students' attitude toward technology and home economics wasn't rated high, and this fact suggested that they took a dim view of the classes, and their attitude was largely affected by high-school admission, the presentation of learning object and the use of learning materials.
In order to change their attitude and outlook, the object of class should clearly be presented and a variety of learning materials should be utilized. Qualified and knowledgeable teachers should be nurtured to facilitate student understanding and offer higher-quality instruction, and it's also needed to allocate more school hours to the subjects and increase practice opportunities in order to enlarge student's class participation.
