In order to investigate the effects of FEL URSI·BOVIS CAL-CULUS and Heliantus annuus L. Herba Aqua-acupuncture on the tumor induced by the 3-methylcholanthrene(3-MCA) and prostaglanding-F2α(PG) in mice, the FBH Aqua-acupuncture and Saline Aqua-acupuncture were conducted once a day for 5 days on the loci corresponding Choksamni(ST36) and Local Locus.
Experimental studies were performed for the observation of contact hypersensitivity(CS), delayed type hypersensitivity(DTH), hemagglutin in titer(HA titer), hemolysin titer(HL titer) and natural killer cell activity in the tumor bearing mice.
Results were obtained as follows:
1. CS were increased with the statistical significance in the FBH Aqua-acupuncture group as compared with control group.
2. DTH was increased in the FBH Aqua-acupuncture group and Saline Aqua-acupuncture group as compared with the control group.
3. HA titer was increased with the statistical significance in the FBH Aqua-acupuncture group and Saline Aqua-acupuncture group as compared with the control group.
4. HL titer was increased with the statistical significance in the FBH Aqua-acupuncture group and Saline Aqua-acupuncture group as compared with the control group.
5. NK cell activity was increased with the statistical significance in the FBH Aqua-acupuncture group compared with control group.
