This research aims to investigate the structural relationship among service image, service value, satisfaction, and patronage behavior and to establish the conceptual framework for the relationship between customer and service supplier. This research employs LISREL 8.30 for an empirical approach. With consumers in beauty shops supplying intangible and autonomous-oriented services, it was found that (1) perceived store image was positively related to service value, satisfaction, and patronage behavior, (2) service value encouraged satisfaction and patronage behavior, (3) while no relationship between satisfaction and patronage behavior was tested.
This means that customer' short-term satisfaction on affective response does not show continuous patronage behavior. Therefore marketers need to improve patronage behavior through continuous relationship with customers.
The results from this research are follows
First, this research expanded the previous research area of store image, service value, customer satisfaction, and store patronage behavior by redefining the relationship among these factors.
Second, it was found that there is no intermediate relationship between service value and store patronage behavior. Most of current researches on the customers' satisfaction conclude the need of continuous expanding long-term customer. That is, long-term satisfaction rather than short-term satisfaction may induce more store patronage behavior to service suppliers.
Third, There was direct effect between service value factor and store patronage behavior. This implies that service value factor is very important in service area research.
