부모의 성역할 정체감과 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도 = Parents' SEX-ROLE IDENTITY AND FATHER'S PARTICIPATION OF CHILD-REARING

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 부모의 성역할 정체감과 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도와의 관계를 규명하고자 아버지의 성역할 정체감에 따른 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도의 차이를 살펴보았다. 그리고 부모간의 성역할 정체감 유형에 따른 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도의 차이를 살펴보았다. 또한 아버지의 교육, 직업, 소득수준, 어머니의 취업유무와 같은 관련변인이 아버지의 성역할 정체감과 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도와의 관계에 미칠 수 있는 영향에 대해서도 살펴보았다.
연구대상은 서울시에 거주하는 첫자녀가 국민학교 취학전인 부모101쌍 (202명)이었으며, 질문지를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다.
분석기법으로는 X^(2), t-test, 일원변량분석, 이원변량분석을 하였으며 신뢰도 검증을 위해 Cronbach의 α를 산출하였다.
연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
1. 아버지의 성역할 정체감에 따라서 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도에 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 즉 아버지의 성역할 정체감이 미분화이거나 남성적인 경우와 비교해서, 양성적이거나 여성적인 경우에 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.
2. 부모간의 성역할 정체감 유형에 따라서 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도에 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다.
3. 아버지의 교육, 직업, 소득수준, 어머니의 취업유무와 같은 관련변인은 아버지의 성역할 정체감과 상호작용효과를 모두 나타내지 않았다. 따라서 이러한 관련변인들은 아버지의 성역할 정체감과 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도와의 관계에 별 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
이상의 결과들을 종합해 볼 때, 첫자녀가 국민학교 취학전인 아버지들에게 있어서, 아버지의 성역할 정체감이 아버지의 자녀양육 참여도에 중요한 영향을 미친다고 결론지을 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine relations between sex-role identity of parents and father's participation of child-rearing. This study investigated the degree of father's participation of child-rearing according to sex-role identity of fathers and the types of parents' sex-role identity. This study also examined into the effects of father's education, father's occupation, income level, mother's having a occupation or not in relations between sex-role identity of father and father's participation of child-rearing.
The subject of this study was the parents whose oldest child was in pre-school age. A total of 202 parents who dwelled in Seoul answered the questionnaires. For the Statistical analysis of data, X^(2), t-test, one-way ANOVA, Two-way ANOVA and Cronbach's αfor reliability were used.
The results of this study are summarized as the followings.
1. There were significant differences according to sex-role identity of father in father's Participation of child-rearing. That is, fathers had more participation when fathers had androgynous or feminine identity than when they had masculine or undifferentiated identity.
2. There were no significant differences according to the types of parents' sex-role identity in father's participation of child-rearing.
3. The interaction effect between father's education, father's occupation, income level, mother's having a occupation or not and sex-role identity of father were not achieved. That is, these variables didn't have significant effect on relations between sex-role identity of father and father's participation of child-rearing.
The results of this study state that, when the oldest children in the family were in pre-school age, sex-role identity of father is necessary to improve father's participation of child-rearing.
