아버지의 양육태도가 딸의 성취동기에 미치는 영향 = (The) Effect of Paternal Child-Rearing Attitudes and Daughter's Birth Order on Daughter's Achievement Motivation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문에서는 딸이 지각한 아버지의 양육태도가 딸의 성취동기에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보고, 딸의 출생순위 및 남자형제 유무에 따라 딸의 성취동기에 어떠한 차이가 있는가를 살펴보고자 하였다.
연구대상은 서울시에 소재한 대학교 1,2학년에 재학중인 여대생 287명 이었다.
딸의 성취동기와 아버지의 양육태도에 대한 자료는 각각 질문지를 배부하여 수집하였으며, 아버지의 양육태도는 애정지향, 자율지향, 성취지향, 합리지향 등의 4개 차원을 포함하는 것이었다.
분석기법으로는 상관관계분석, 중회귀분석, F-test 그리고 조사도구의 신뢰도를 알아보기 위하여 Cronbach의 α를 산출하였다.
중요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 딸의 성취동기는 아버지의 애정지향, 자율지향, 성취지향, 합리지향적인 양육태도 각 차원과 유의한 상관이 있었으며, 특히 아버지의 성취지향적인 양육차원이 딸의 성취동기에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 아버지의 이 4가지 양육차원을 합한 전체적인 양육태도도 딸의 성취동기와 유의한 상관이 있었다.
2. 딸의 성취동기는 딸의 출생순위 및 남자형제 유무에 따라서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러나 맏이나 외동이가 비맏이(맏이가 아닌 경우)보다 더 높은 성취동기 경향을 보였으며, 그 중에서도 남자형제가 없으면서 맏이(자매로만 구성된 경우의 맏이)일때 가장 높은 성취동기를 나타내는 경향이 있었다.
결론적으로, 딸의 성취동기는 아버지의 양육태도에 의해 영향을 받으며, 특히 성취지향적인 양육태도가 가장 큰 영향을 미치므로 딸의 성취동기를 격려하기 위해서는 아버지의 성취지향적인 양육태도가 절실히 요구된다고 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of perceived paternal child-rearing attitudes and daughter's birth order on daughter's achievement motivation.
Subjects were 287 female college students of first and second grade in universities.
The questionaires about paternal child-rearing attitudes and daughter's achievement motivation were distributed to the subjects. The paternal child-rearing attitudes are measured by four sets of questionaire items suitable for identifying their different dimensions: Love vs. Hostility, Autonomy vs. Control, Achievement vs . Nonachievement, and Rationality vs. Irrationality.
For data analysis, Pearson's r., F-test, Multiple Regression and Cronbach's alpha for reliability were performed.
The major results as this study were as follows;
1. Paternal child-rearing attitude were significantly correlated with daughter's achievement motivation. In particular, achievement-oriented paternal rearing attitude had the most significant effect on daughter's achievement motivation.
2. There was no significant difference between daughter's birth order groups in terms of daughter's achievement motivation.
The results strongly support that daughter's achievement motivation can be improved in which fathers use achievement-oriented attitudes.
