단기 진로프로그램이 고등학생의 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 = (The) effect of the short-term career education program upon the career-maturity of high school student

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 처음으로 7차 교육과정을 적용 받는 고등학교 신입생들에게 이들의 계열 선택에 도움을 주기 위해 개발된 단기 진로프로그램의 효과를 검증하는 것이었다. 즉 학생들에게 1주일에 한 시간 배정되어 있는 창의적 재량활동 시간에 단기 진로 프로그램을 투입한 후 그것이 학생들의 진로성숙에 미치는 효과를 분석하는 것이었다. 연구문제는 다음과 같이 설정하였다.
첫 번째, 단기진로프로그램을 투입한 학급이 그렇지 않는 학급보다 진로성숙도가 의미 있게 향상될 것인가?
두 번째, 단기진로프로그램을 투입 효과가 남학생 학급과 여학생 학급에서 차이가 잇을 것인가?
세 번째, 단기진로프로그램의 효과가 학생들의 학업성취 수준에 따라 차이가 있을 것인가?
이러한 연구문제를 구체적으로 확인하기 위하여 선행연구를 통해 본 연구에서는 4개의 가설을 설정하고 이를 검증하였다.
본 연구의 가설을 검증하기 위해 성남에 있는 S고등학교 1학년을 대상으로 각각 남·여 한 학급씩 무선적으로 13개의 학급 중 2개의 학급의 124명의 학생을 실험집단(62명)과 통제집단(62명)으로 구분하여 실험집단에 본 연구자가 개발한 단기 프로그램을 실시하였다. 이때 각 집단의 남·여학생은 각각 31명으로 구성되었다. 실험집단은 총 4회기(50분)로 이루어진 단기진로탐색 프로그램을 실시하고 통제집단은 아무런 처치를 하지 않고 같은 시기에 사전- 사후검사만 실시하였다.
본 연구에 사용된 검사도구는 중앙교육진흥연구소에서 개발한 진로의식발달검사(2001)를 사용하였다. 실험집단에 투입한 단기진로탐색프로그램은 한국청소년 상담원(1996)이 발행한 「진로의사결정훈련- 웍 북(개정판)」, 서울교육과학원(1999) 「고등학교 진로 프로그램」을 참고로 재구성하여 실시하였다. 본 연구의 집단별 유의미한 차이를 검증하기 위하여 변량 분석(analysis of variance)을 하였으며 분석 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 단기진로탐색프로그램의 적용은 1학년 고등학생의 진로성숙을 발달시키는데 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 단기진로탐색프로그램이 남·여학생 모두의 진로성숙도 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 단기진로탐색프로그램은 학생들의 진로선택에 대한 확신성, 진로정보처리능력을 증진시키는데 효과적이었다.
이상의 연구결과로 보아 단기진로탐색프로그램이 고등학생의 진로성숙에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 본 단기진로탐색프로그램을 통하여 고등학교 1학년의 진로성숙을 향상시키기 위하여 나아가 그들의 진로 계열선택을 돕기 위해 학교현장에서는 진로프로그램을 단기간이라도 실시하는 것이 중요하다는 점에서 의의 있다고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of a short-term career education program upon high school freshmen 's' career -maturity. The following hypotheses are set in order to check the effect of the program.
1. Are there any improvement in the career-maturity of the student s who took in the short-term career education program?
2. Are there any improvement in the career-maturity of the male and female students separat ely who took in the short-term career education program?
3. Are there any improvement in the school work achievements of students who took in the short-term career education program?
To verify the above-mentioned hypotheses, 124 students among high school freshmen was sampled out. The half of them, 62 students was divided in experimental group and control group each. Before putting the program on the experimental group, the test for checking career attitude maturity was taken with both groups. After the t est the program began during four sessions which are composed 4 clas ses (one clas s is 50 minutes). The post-test that is same with the pre-test was taken after the program. The data acquired from both the pre- and post test results was processed by SPSS (Statistical Package SocialScience)/Win in order to find out any significant differences between experimental group and control group. Besides the data was divided by two group based on school achievements which was scored in mid-term examination and final examination.
On the basis of the pre and post result, the following conclusions were reached out. First, the effect of the short - term career education program upon the career maturity was proven meaningful. Each male and female student in experimental group was excelled in decisiveness and career information processing ability. Second, the effect of the programidn't show any influence on the school achievements statistically.
The result of this thesis showed similar outcomes with previous researches. Unlike the previous ones, this one focused on short - term and one- class group. The results of this study showed that short - term career education program had a positive effect upon the career -maturity of high school freshmen.
