학교시설 복합화 대상기능 및 계획방향에 관한 연구 = (A) study on the planning guideline and function of the mixed-use school facilities

Now, the diversity and the liberation is important in our Society. And, school education needs the various open-educational system and the founding a base of the lifelong education
At this point, the mixture of school facility is raised ours head as the school plays a role of the resident's lifelong education and the local public facility
Hence, this study aims to suggest the design principle of the Mixed-Use school facility with a understanding the physical property and the function intended the mixture of school facility according to the social trend and the educational change.
The process of this study is arranged as follows.
1) Introduction : to describe the aim of this study and to explain the method of it with limiting a range of the theoretical and spacial study.
2) Theoretical Investigation : to explain the necessity and the definition of the Mixed-Use School facility and to inquire the trend of it in U.K., U.S.A. and Japan and it's suggestion, to investigate the domestic circumstance of the mixed-use school, and to establish the design principle of the mixed-use school facility including the physical property and function.
3) Case study : to analyse the eight case schools to suggest the function and typology of the mixture and the principle of it's physical property.
4) Query Investigation : to inquire the necessity of the mixed-use school facility through query investigation object to five elementary school selected on the ground of the regional specific.
5) Conclusion : to suggest the physical property and function of the mixed-use school facility with synthesis of the previous study.
According to the previews process to study, the suggestion about the physical property and function of mixed-use school facility, when the school facility is mixed, is arranged as follows.
First in a view of the results to synthesize the case study and query investigation so far achieved, the major function subject to mix is the physical educational function and the cultural function. Moreover, the school facility to educate and include the facility to make a synergy effect as using in common with a local residents.
Therefore, it is composed of the physical educational facility for exemple gymnasium, swimming pool and the cultural facility for instance, library, computer center, and cultural center to learn a public lecture.
Second, according as the needs for the mixture of school facility is on the increase regardless of the local difference, it is assumed that the school must be a space for the lifelong education and play a role of the local major facility
And, when the school facility and mixed, it is important to design as the local trait.
Third, the synthesis of typology and spacial organization between school facility and mixed-use facility is summarized as follows.
In case a downtown school, as the school facility and the mixed-use facility are composed in one building as a vertical order, which can make the utility factor of the site higher and secess between the student's space and the local resident's space in vertical order of circulation.
In case of a suburban school, they are composed in separate low buildings as horizontal order which can make the connection of the public space by the intermediate space and maintain the spacial independence and separate each space.
Fourth, the mixed-use school entrance must be separate for the students and local residents in a entrance hall for public use connected with each doorway.
The internal circulation of it is connected with a entrance hall and planned to disjoin a circulation with a design of separate staircase to help a local user.
In this way, it is concluded that the local residents use this mixed-use facility positively.
As a result to synthesize a design principle and function of the mixed-use school through case study and query investigation in above, it is concluded that this study's limits are the limitation subject to case-study and the absence of the data related to manage the mixed -use school facility. Lastly, it is appropriate that the suggestion in above must be reflected when the mixed-use school design and the study of mixed-use school facility must be required.
