국내 해양관광지 개발모형에 관한 연구 = (A) Study on the Development Model of Marine Tourism Resort in Korea

Marine space is composed of various spaces such as seashore, on the sea, in the sea and the bottom of the sea. And because each space has its own characteristic environment, methods of recreation using it is also various and because we can enjoy various feeling for each space, more and it attracts interest of more and more people. Especially, due to development of scientific technology, we became to have ability to remove various dangerous and restrictive factors of the sea and as approach to the sea became easier due to development of menas of transportation, possibility to develop marine tourist resorts in and outside of Korea became greater.
According to such change, it is self-evident fact that customers' desire for the necessity of developing marine tourist resort will emerge. But because most regions started business without understanding characteristics of tourists and tourist resources they prefer exactly, tourist business and its development making the most of regional characteristics are not made yet.
Purpose of this study is to establish the concept of marine tourism, considering its development by acknowledging such problems and to develop marine tourism, considering actual condition of marine tourist resources and their use from now on and to develop facilities proper for customers' desire. Purpose of this study lies in introducing facilities for space structure, enabling us to do balanced regional development, differential development of facilities and development of comfortable facilities by realizing development of facilities with consideration of the type of existing development plan.
For the professional groups I have selected as samples of this study, I selected the most suitable 10 persons for each 5 group such as professors, researchers, concerned administrative government office, consulting companies for tourism development, and tourism development companies and I made my research step by step by fixing them as panels. After verifying propriety of composition of questionnaire for this study to the first panels, I determined the questionnaire and then requested them to answer it. By distributing the total number of 60 questionnaires, I collected 51. In order to use them as objective and scientific basis for this study, I used nonparametric statistical methods and applied statistical methods in this study.
I used checklist method as main analysis method where before the researcher starts analysis, he investigates various locations proper for business in advance and researches and analyzes their important characteristics systematically. As statistical method for this study, I used verification of agreement of opinion on the basis of Kendall W Test and Kruskal - Willis Test and studied if professional groups and their opinion agree and if their opinion can give actual suggestion for development of the locations for this study.
As the result of verification of agreement on the basis of Kendall W Test for this study's variables such as function of tourism development, matters to be considered or improved at the time of development, basic concept for tourism development of the object location, facilities necessary for such development and tourism activities according to development concept, I found that professionals' opinions agree in all analysis. That is, the fact that professionals opinions agree shows that professionals have the same desire for development of marine tourist resorts. So because there can be different opinions per each job among professionals, I analyzed mutual difference on the basis of Kruskal - Willis Test and found that there weren't many variables showing difference of opinions between professional groups.
After all, I can say that this study is the result of research and analysis verifying that facilities to accommodate gradually increasing marine tourists properly are keenly necessary. On the basis of the result of research and analysis, we can see that professional groups agreed on suggested direction for marine development and contents to be considered or improved when developing marine tourist resorts. And we can also see that as to Bieung Island's Fish Basin as an object for tourism development, it will be necessary to systematically enforce development as centers for leisure/sports, rest/amusement, natural view sightseeing, education of marine culture or experience of ecological environment.
