      The purpose of this study is to develop a computer-based cognitive development inventory and to examine a possiblity of application about it in educational practice for children(5 - 8years old). Namely, this study is to prove the validity and reliablity of the computer- based cognitive development inventory, developed in this study.
      The major research questions are as follows:
      1. Is it possible that the computer-based inventory, analyzing the pencile-paper inventory, develop to use educational practice?
      2. Is there any difference between the computer-based inventory and the pencil-paper inventory in result of test.
      3. Could the computer- based inventory get enough to validity and reliablity.
      To examine this questions, researcher developed the computer-based inventory, transforming the existed pencile-paper inventory, invented K.J.Klauer and G.D.Phye(1994) to adjust for the computer system. The subject of this study was 30, 5-8 years old kindergartners. To test the validity this inventory, statistics used Pearson's simple product-monent correlatiion coefficient and Spearman's correlation coefficient to find the relationship between this inventory and the pencile-paper inventory difference and factor analysis. To test the reliablity of this inventory, statisitics used internal consistency reliability, split-half reliablity, Cronbach's α.
      The finding of this study were as follows:
      1. The relationship between adoption age and Attachment Security to mother showed a statiscally significant correlation(Pearson corr=-.14, Spearman corr=.769, p<.01).
      2. the reliablity of the computer-based inventory find out a statistically significant levels(ρ=.767, α=.823).
      In conclusion, when comparing the pencile-paper inventory of K.J.Klauer and G.D.Phye(1994), the computer- based cognitive development inventory, developed in this study was proved the validity and reliablity of inventory.
