The purpose of this study is to examine the The Influence of Coaching Style of Golf Instructor on Self-actualization of Golf Learner.
For accomplishing these purposes, the 222 subjects were selected using the multi-stage stratified random cluster sampling method from the golf areas such as golf centers and golf country club in located in Seoul and Kyung Gi metropolitan area.
The data for the study were collected through the survey questionnaires. For the data of coaching style, Leadership Scale for Sports(LSS) developed by Chelladuria & Saleh(1987) and standardized in Korean language by Kim(1989). And for the data of perceived Self-actualization, Bureaucratic characteristics of organizations and self-fulfillment developed by Min(1986) was used.
The statistical methods utilized for testing the hypotheses were Cronbach's α, descriptive statistics, t-test standard multiple regression analysis using the residual after controlling the socio-demographic characteristics.
From the analyses of the data, the conclusions of the study were obtained as follows;
First, coaching style of Golf Instructor and self-actualization of golf Learner were partially different along with the socio-demographic characteristics. In general, coaching style of Golf Instructors and self actualization of golf Learner were different depending on the sex, age, incomes, expenditure for teaching, teaching term.
Second, coaching style of Instructors had effects on self actualization of golf Learner. The higher full use of capacities of golf Learner, the higher their exportation of potentialities and of realization of goal.
