韓國 觀光産業의 經濟的 效果 및 發展方案에 關한 硏究

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 한국 관광산업이 경제에 미친 효과 및 현상황의 문제점을 통해 발전방안에 대해 모색하고자 하였다.
오늘날 세계의 관광산업은 여가를 즐기기 위한 위락수단으로서만이 아닌 교역의 한부분을 차지하고 있기 때문에 우리는 관광산업을 국가전략 산업으로서 외화획득원의 한부분으로 인식하지 않을 수 없다.
우리나라 관광산업은 1960년대 말부터 일본인 단체관광객으로 인해 제조업에 못지않은 외화획득의 첨병으로 인식하기 시작했으며, 1970년대에는 관광산업을 전략산업으로 인식하며 정부의 노력과 함께 다른 산업과 연계하면서 놀랄만한 발전을 하였다. 그러나 1980년에 이어 1996년에는 적자를 기록하였으며, 1997년에는 IMF의 영향으로 여행업을 비롯하여 산업 및 경제 전반에 있어서 많은 관광업체들이 도산의 위기를 맞고 있어 그 극복방안의 모색이 현실적인 과제로 대두되기도 하였다.
이러한 시점에서 본 논문은 제2장에서 관광산업이 한국 경제에 미치는 효과를 각종 자료와 통계표를 제시하여 살펴봄으로써 관광산업의 중요성에 대하여 부각시켰고, 제3장에서는 이렇게 중요시되고 있는 각각의 관광산업의 일반적 현황 및 문제점을 고찰하여 그에 따른 발전방안에 대해 제시하는 구조로 되어있다.
세계 여러 나라들이 관광을 미래의 산업으로 집중하는 변화의 흐름에 한국관광의 의지 또한, 국민 모두의 관심속에서 고조된다면 2000년 ASEM과 밀레니엄사업, 2001년 한국방문의 해, 2002년 월드컵 등 국가적인 관광 이벤트를 성공적으로 개최할 수 있는 계기와 함께 재도약의 호기를 맞을 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic effects of the korean tourism industry and to search for desirable measure for the development of the industry.
The Korea Tourism Industry appeared in Korea in the early 1960's and has grown contiuously since then with the effort of employees and business men who work in the industry as well as government policy which has encourged it's continual growth.
The Korea Tourism industry has a variety of features, that is, it differs severely in place-dependency, changeability, diversity, common benefit and service character, it seemed to be important to analyze them and to set a direction for new challenges.
This study discussed the problems and the methods of improving them for definite examples. The Hotel industry, the Travel industry, the Convention industry, the Traffic industry.
The economical, social and cultural efficiency peculiar to the tourism industry can be improved with these suggestions and these suggestions cam help make the foundation for creating an advanced tourism industry in Korea.
If everybody shows interest in the existing resource and natural environment and intens to extend and arrange our facilities to build "Tourism in Korea" Korean tourism industry could meet second chance to leap with hosting grand international events like ASEM in 2000, and World Cup and Pusan East-Asian Game in 2002. These may provide a chance to resolve problems of high price and high unemployment etc. Indeed, this is the time when we can reexamine the unique economic, social and cultural effects only tourism industry has, and we should make another exertion for "Tourism in Korea,"
