보건간호사의 전문직 태도와 소진과의 관계 연구

Recently we see the medical circles promote the specialization in order to keep pace with uptodate technology society, and in order for nursing to effectively meet the need of society as the professional duty, and with the necessity of specialization of nursing in each environment which can affect the change of the health through nursing, the attitude of professional duty should be established to heighten the position of public health nurse.
Also the discord and complain occuring between the ideal concept of nursing of the nurses in practical duties could be resulted in the state of burnout causing the quality of nursing fallen.
This study has the purpose of providing the basic materials to be helpful to the advancement of public health nurse by understanding the relation between the attitude of professional duty and the burnout of the nurses in public health center which provides primary health and medical services within the system of offering health and medical services in Korea.
245 nurses in 13 Community Health Centers out of many in Seoul have been selected conveniently were the objects of this study, and the materials have been collected from Apr. 4, 2000 through Apr. 19 with the rate of collection being 94.4%.
The tool of measuring the attitude of professional duty of the nurse developed by Fingerhut(1979) was used with the reliability degree of Cronbach's alpha=.713. The tool of measuring the experience of burnout developed by Pines(1981) and translated by Kwak, Eun Hee(1983) was used after having it amended and supplemented with the reliability degree of Cronbach's alpha=.899.
The SPSS statistical program was used for the materials collected and the below is the result of this study ;
1) The result appeared in population sociological special character of health nurse is here ; 85.3% was the nurses in their 30s and 40s in age, Married nurses occupied 87.3%, 69.8% was the junior college graduates, 70.2% had the religion being affected by it to their life by 69.0%. The above percentages occupied the most respectively in each area.
2) The average point was 3.68 out of full 5 point on the attitude of professional duty of nursing. The social authorization area occupied 4.10 point, the professional duty education level area occupied 3.97 point, self-regulation area occupied 3.68 point, responsibility area 3.67, system code of conduct 3.57, actuality area 3.51, and ethical area 3.02 in such order.
3) The point of the degree of the experience of the burnout of nurse was 2.56 out of full 5 point, the point of each area of the experience of the burnout was :
Mental burnout 2.67, physical burnout 2.63 and emotional burnout 2.39 in such order.
4) There was meaningful difference statistically in expected period of service as a nurse, the motive of having chosen the job of nursing, the degree of being satisfied with the duty of nurse when the difference on the attitude of professional duty of nursing was tested according to general characters of the objects, the nurses.
5) When the difference from the experience of the burnout according to general character of the objects was tested, the nurses under the age of 30 had the higher degree of burnout experience while the nurses over the age of 51 had the lower degree of burnout experience showing the meaningful difference between them(F=5.385, p=.001).
6) The correlation between the attitude of professional duty and the degree of the burnout experience of the objects was the negative correlation(r=-.232, p=.000).
In conclusion the establishment of the attitude of professional duty is requested because the work of the professionals like nurses would be resulted in the lowered productivity without its establishment and it is also needed for the advancement of nursing duty, and the study on the investigation on the cause of burnout is also requested to be necessary.
