      The purpose of this study was to investigate the disposition and role of teachers for residential and itinerant education.
      The concrete objective of this study were as follows;
      First, the importance of teachers' disposition needed in residential and itinerant education was classified by forms of sex, jobgrade and career.
      Second, the importance of teachers' role needed in residential and itinerant education was classified by forms of sex, jobgrade and career.
      Third, this study examined the importance of desiable teachers' attitude needed in residential and itinerant education.
      The object of this study was composed of 100 people including teachers and professional-class. The questionnaires were composed of 30 questions by the disposition, the desiable teachers' attitude, and the role as thachers needed in residential and itinerant education. The analysis of questionnairs was verified with χ², and the statistical processing with the SSPS/PC programme was analysed from the importance of sex, jobgrade and career in difference of an index.
      The results of this study were as follows ;
      First. the recognition of importance of teachers' disposition in residential and itinerant education was measured as higher professional-class than teachers.
      The dispositions considered in professional-class were such as the educational morality and duty, the characteristic of participants, and study career.
      Second. the recognition of importance of teachers' role in residential and itinerant education was measured as higher professional-class than teachers. The roles considered in professional-class were such as diagnosis and valuation, the condition of curriculum, counseling ability, instructing life, the management porforming ability. The knowledges for special children were especially considered by femail teachers.
      Finally, the recognition of importance of desiable teachers' attitude in residential and itinerant education was measured as higher professional-class than teachers. The desiable teachers' attitudes considered in Professional-class were such as affection and understanding, passion, and encouragement. Especially, the educational morality and affection and understanding were considered by male teachers.
      The suggestions from this result were as follows ;
      First. need the various efforts and activities to perfome the role as teachers in Residential and itinerant education.
      Second. need the contious study on the extention of the theahers' speciality in residential and itinerant education.
      Third. need the development of the various programme for children with physical and multiple disabilities in residential and Itinerant education.
      Fourth. need the study on the supporting system have to pride and effect as teachers.
