The purpose of the present study is to examine the relations among parental child-rearing attitudes perceived by the children, self-efficacy, and school adjustment. In this study the subjects are established the following research questions-that is, the relations between : 1) parental child-rearing attitudes perceived by the children and school adjustment 2) self-efficacy and school adjustment.
Data was collected from 419 sixth graders in 4 elementary schools selected in Daejon metropolitan city.
The result of analyzing the collected data is as follows.
First, It is expressed that the children who perceived parents' attitude is autonomous adjust to school much better.
Second, It is expressed that the children who have enough self regulation efficacy adjust to school much better.
The conclusion can be drawn as follows :
First, It is verified that the parental autonomous child-rearing attitudes perceived by the children have important effects on school adjustment.
Second, It is verified that the self regulation efficacy has important effects on school adjustment.
In conclusion, parental autonomous child-rearing attitudes perceived by the children and self regulation efficacy have influenced on school adjustment.
The parents would educate their children desirably. Also the teachers would develope various educational program and should make a lot of studies of school adjustment.
