사회적 지지의 효과 : 청소년의 학교적응, 공감 및 가치관을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 사회적 지지의 연구와 분석을 통하여 청소년들에게 효과적인 지지를 제공함으로 청소년의 정상적인 발달과 사회 적응 및 문제에 대처하는 능력을 길러주는데 목적이 있다. 이에 사회적 지지가 청소년의 학교적응 및 공감과 가치관에 미치는 영향을 지지원과 지지영역으로 나누어 알아보고자 하였다.
이를 위해 중학생 180명을 본 연구의 대상으로 하였다.
분석을 통해서 나타난 주요 결과는 다음과 같았다.
첫째, 사회적 지지는 학교적응과 유의미한 상관을 가지며, 사회적 지지와 학교적응의 관계를 살펴보면 전체적으로 여학생의 경우보다 남학생이 사회적 지지에 따른 학교생활 적응을 더욱 잘하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년의 학교생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 사회지지는 남학생과 여학생 모두 교사의 사회적 지지, 친구의 사회적 지지, 부모의 사회적 지지의 순서로 나타났으나 친구의 사회적 지지에 있어서는 남학생의 경우보다 여학생이 더 큰 상관을 보이고 있어 성별에 따른 효과적인 지지원과 지지 내용을 제공하여 주는 것이 청소년의 학교적응의 효과를 높일 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
또한 영역별로 살펴본 사회적 지지는 정서적 지지, 정보적 지지, 평가적 지지, 도구적 지지의 순서로 학교적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 사회적 지지와 공감의 관계를 살펴보면, 전체 학생을 대상으로 분석한 결과는 지지원에 따라서는 부모의 사회적 지지, 교사의 사회적 지지, 친구의 사회적 지지의 순서로 모두 공감과 유의함을 알 수 있었고, 사회적 지지의 영역별로 살펴 본 결과는 정보적 지지와 가장 높은 상관을 보였다. 이것은 사회적 지지를 많이 받는 청소년이 타인에 대한 공감도 더욱 잘함을 알 수 있는 결과이다. 특히 지지원 중 친구의 사회적 지지가 공감에 가장 큰 상관을 보이고 있어서 또래집단의 중요성과 영향력을 알 수 있었다.
셋째, 사회적 지지와 청소년 가치관의 관계를 살펴본 결과 사회적 지지의 지지원 중 부모의 사회적 지지가 도덕적 가치관과 유의함을 보였다. 이것은 가치관에 가장 큰 영향력을 주는 지지원은 부모라는 것을 알 수 있는 결과였고 그 만큼 부모의 양육태도나 교육적 일관성 및 사회적 관심 등이 자녀에게 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The main purpose of this study is to offer a ability to cope with social difficulty and to adjust as give a efficient support to adolescent and it is to support a normal development of adolescent by analyzing and study of social support also. We would find a effect of social support on adolescents school adjustment, empathy and value perspective as a support source and a domain of support.

We surveyed 180 of middle school students for this study.

The result of this study could be summarized as follows;

First. Social support was correlated to school adjustment meaningfully. As a relation between social support and school adjustment, Boys adjustment at school was more related with social support than girls. In case of boys, social support influenced on school adjustment of adolescents had a following order that teacher's social support was the one influenced most, then came friend's and parent's. In case of girls, the situation was same but correlation about friend's social support had been higher than boys. so we was able to find to give a more effective support source and support contents with a distinction of sex will be able to improve the effect of school adjustment.
In a inspection of domain, also the social support influenced on school adjustment. Emotional support was the one most, then came informational support , evaluating support and instrumental support.

Second, As a correlation between social support and empathy, we could find that the empathy was more correlated on the parent's support and then teacher's support and friend's support by the result of analyzed data about the whole of students. And as a inspection of domain of social support, empathy was more correlated on informational support highly. Especially we could find that the friend's support was most correlated with empathy so could find a importance and influence about peer group for student.

Third, As a correlation between social support and value perspective of adolescents, the social support of parent was correlated on moral value perspective. That was meaning the most support source influenced on value perspective is parents attitude. That is, the attitude of bringing up of parents, a consistent education and a social concern was important to influence a student.

This study was based on the above results, and we suggested the limitation of study and further.
