The first objective of this study is to grasp how employees use, see, and feel about atriums.Second, to analyze how the employees perceive an atrium's image, and third, to analyze the cause of satisfaction, to clarify the importance of interior landscaping, and there is a purpose to find the cause of satisfaction. That is to say, the relation between the state of using an atrium and the use of outdoors is not to closely examine the atrium's image and satisfaction for the sake of the people and the secure, open, and connect; but rather to offer drafts of new indoor environmental designs.
The study of the problems and the possibility of improvement and potential energy have interior landscape that is the problem of the cities environment, an atrium gives us a chance to construct and import nature which is our study target.
Private firms promote the usage of an atrium for their own use on the more higher levels of an office building like some located in Seoul, the 11th floor and above like the Joong-ko, Kang-nam, and Yoi-do regions don't distribute for more than once, for example not leased buildings but exclusive buildings such as the Samsung's main office building, Posco Center, and the LG twin buildings are our analysis targets.
An interrogation of the employees as the target subject has been executed on each of the atrium's usage, space image, and satisfaction.
If we look over this study course, chapter one studies the aim and the background, describes and relates the study; chapter two's objective describes the inquiry method, main questions, and survey methods pertaining to the atrium. Chapter three formated the atrium's concept as well as meaning and a theoretical frame for analysis. Chapter four reveals how inquiries depend on collected material and made into drafts, landscape usage, atrium space image, satisfaction, etc.. Chapter five summarizes and grasps how the atrium's environment influences employees.
The summarized outcome of the study reads as follows.
1. The difference between employees using outdoor space and using an atrium is that by being able to use an atrium during breaks, they can reduce stress and research shows that they use the atrium more frequently.
2. We can compare the atrium space image variables with other companies for good standard (discrimination), their own unique characteristics, familiarity, how the companies' management ideas reflect, the attaching influential, influencing pride, and making them feel worthy.
3. The atrium space image statistically failed to give any attentive influence, and showed that the main element gave influence.
4. The key figures to satisfy the employees are pleasantness, neatness, traffic convenience, parking, indoor landscape, indoor decor, building structure, building exterior, and event sessions all extend influence.
5. Not only the keys to satisfaction are important but the space and tsurroundings have to be well connected, exits and walkways, establishment convenience and thoughts, luminosity, etc., satisfaction, model color, plants, etc., beauty satisfaction, and the usage of an open, cleared space were chosen.
6. If we synthesize the result, an atrium shows considerable possibilities of satisfying. It especially needs a study of the influencing main element of space image angles. Henceforth, a follow-up study that recognizes the atrium user feeling the building's true character, it needs to be a sympathizing and satisfying landscape design to further invest and rely on more than indoor space and an improved, secure, quality plan can be made.
