한지작업을 통한 유아 전통미술지도 = Traditional art teaching for preschool children through Hanji handwork

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한지는 우리의 우수한 전통미술의 한 재료이고 한지공예는 한국인의 정서가 짙게 배어있는 생활문화 속에 이어져 내려온 전통미술이다. 본 연구에서는 한지작업을 통해 유아들에게 민족의 생활정서와 슬기를 체험하는 보다 폭넓은 미술경험을 제공하고자 한다. 이에 연구자가 계획한 한지 활동들이 실제 유아교육 현장에 적용가능한지를 살펴보았다. 이에 따른 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 한지작업을 통한 유아 전통미술 활동에 대한 유아의 반응은 어떠한가?
2. 한지작업을 통한 유아 전통미술 활동에 대한 교사의 반응은 어떠한가?
본 연구에서는 유치원 교육과정으로 적합한 한지 작업 활동을 3개의 활동분야로 나누었으며 각 분야별로 3개의 미술활동을 두어 총 9개의 활동을 실시하였다.
전통 미술교육으로서 한지 작업의 현장 적용 가능성을 알아보기 위해 서울에 있는 ○○○어린이집 만 5세 유아 9명을 대상으로 4주간 주 3회 총 12회 동안 활동을 실시하였다. 각 활동마다 유아들의 반응을 관찰하고, 녹음하였으며, 비디오로 촬영하였다. 수집된 자료는 현장 적용 과정에 나타난 유아들의 반응 중 전통미술공예품에 대한 반응과 작품 제작 표현 활동 시 나타난 유아들의 특성에 따른 반응으로 나누어 분석하였으며, 모든 활동을 마치고 난 후 대상 유아들의 한지 활동 실시과정과 결과물에 대한 면담을 실시하였다. 또한 한지 작업의 활동 자료와 미술 작업 상황을 녹화하여 현직 교사 30명에게 보여주고 질문지를 통해 현장 적용가능성에 대한 반응을 분석하였다. 이에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 유아 대부분이 본 프로그램에 적극적인 참여와 흥미를 보여 주었으며, 재미있었고 옛날 사람들의 생활을 알 것 같다는 반응을 보였다. 또한 거의 모든 교사가 한지 작업이 전통미술을 이해하는데 도움이 된다고 생각하였으며, 유아들에게도 유익한 미술경험이 될 것이라고 응답했다. 또한 이 한지 작업을 각 교사의 현장에서 유아들에게 적용해 볼 의향이 있다고 응답했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korean paper hand-made from mulberry trees, Hanji is a material of our great traditional art and Hanji handicraft is a traditional art that has been handed down in living culture of Korean's atmosphere.
In this study, I'm going to provide preschool children with national living atmosphere and wisdom through Hanji handwork. So I observed that Hanji activities which I made plans can be applied to actual preschool education.
1. What is children's response to preschool children traditional art through Hanji activities?
2. What is teacher's response to preschool children traditional art through Hanji activities?
In this study, I divided Hanji handwork activities fit for preschool curriculum into three activity fields and added three art activities ineach three activity fields, so totally I carried nine activities into effect. .To find out the possibility of application to the field of the Hanji handwork as a traditional art education, we carried out our program to nine full five-year-old children in 000 kindergarten located in Seoul for four weeks, three times a week, 12 times in total.
In every activity, we observed their reaction, taped it and recorded it on video tape. Collected data was classified into two ways according to preschool children's reaction to traditional art craft and their response in accordance with their trait when they are in the work of art activities from their reactions on the process of application to the field. After finishing all activities, I had interviews with participant about the process and result of Hanji activities We showed 30 incumbent teachers the video tape recorded activity materials of Hanji handwork and all the process of art work and analyzed the responses about the possibility of application to the field.
The result of the research is as follows. Most of our children participants showed positive participations and interests to our programs and reacted that it was interesting and useful to understand the daily life of the old days. And the greater part of the teachers participants considered Hanji activities was good for increasing the understanding of the traditional art and replied it was helpful experiences in art. And besides they answered they had an intention to apply Hanji activities into their teaching fields.
