This research is based on the result of questionnaires filled by 254 boy and girl elementary school handball players about their injuries during the game. Overall, the result of the injuries on the place of the body was the same among the boys and girls. However, girls were injured more than the boys. In the research, boys injured their hands more than the girls did. The research shows that students who started playing handball in the sixth grade generally injured more than others did. Also, students who started playing handball late were injured in more places on their body.
Research showed that there was no distinction between the offense and defense players on their injuries. Therefore, among the different factors that resulted in the injuries, there was very little influence from the location of their position during the game. From this research, distinguishing the general injuries of elementary school handball players, the different injury locations between boys and girls, the influence of when players first start playing handball and the research of the actual condition of injuries from the offense and defense positions were accomplished.
In conclusion, our goal is to research continuously with many more samples. We have researched the correlation of the offense and defense positions but, we need to find more factors that directly influence the results of the injuries and research them. We also need a teaching plan for the different age when players start playing within each grade. The teaching plan should be based on the injury results from the moment they start playing sports.
