都市主婦의 性役割態度와 結婚滿足度間의 關係 = (A) Study on the relationship between the sex-role attitude and marital satisfaction of Korea wives

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 도시 주부들의 性役割態度와 結婚滿足度의 관계를 연구하여, 夫婦關係의 一面을 분석해 보고자 하는 것이다.
이를 위해 서울市內 初, 中, 高, 大學校 學生 및 유치원 아동들의 어머니와 初, 中, 高, 大學校의 旣婚 女敎師 및 女敎授, 종합병원의 旣婚 女醫師와 간호원 등 주부 626명을 對象으로 質問紙 調査를 실시하였다.
性役割 態度의 측정은 Osmond와 Martin의 性役割 態度 측정 尺度 중에서 우리 文化 실정에 맞게 골라 작성한 問項을 사용하였고, 結婚 滿足度의 측정은 金 明子, 吳 明淑, 朴 映錦 등의 先行 硏究를 기초로 하여 작성한 問項을 사용하였다.
조사 결과 수집된 資料에 대한 統計的 分析으로는 x^(2)검증, 변량 분석과 상관계수 등의 통계 방법이 사용되었다.
연구의 結果는 다음과 같다.
1. 性役割 態度
(1) 도시 주부들은 전체적으로 상당히 近代的인 性役割 態度를 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 領域別로 볼 때는 職業的 役割이 가장 近代的인 경향이었고, 家族 役割은 近代的 경향이 가장 낮았다.
(2) 關聯要因에 따라 그 정도를 살펴보면,
① 남편과 주부의 敎育 水準이 大卒 以上일 때가 高卒 以下인 경우보다 近代的이었다.
② 남편과 주부의 年齡이 낮은 주부들이 年齡이 높은 주부들보다 近代的이었다.
③ 就業 主婦가 非 就業 主婦보다 近代的인 態度를 가졌으며, 특히 專門職 主婦가 가장 近代的이었다.
④ 家計 收入이 많은 가족의 주부가 家計 收入이 적은 경우보다 近代的이었다.
⑤ 家族 生活 週期別로는 집단간에 有意的인 差異를 보이지 않았다.
2. 結婚 滿足度
(1) 도시 주부들은 대체적으로 結婚滿足度가 중간 수준인 편이었다.
(2) 關聯 要因에 따른 結婚 滿足度의 정도를 살펴 보면,
① 주부의 敎育 水準이 大卒 以上인 경우에 高卒 以下보다 結婚 滿足度가 높았다.
② 남편의 敎育 水準이 大卒 以上인 경우에 高卒 以下보다 結婚 滿足度가 높았다.
③ 家計 收入이 많은 가족의 주부가 家計 收入이 적은 경우보다 結婚 滿足度가 높았다.
④ 주부의 職業 有無, 夫婦의 年齡, 家族 生活 週期別로는 結婚 滿足度에 있어서 집단간에 有意的인 差異를 보이지 않았다.
3. 性役割 態度와 結婚 滿足度의 관계
(1) 傳統的인 性役割 態度를 가진 주부들이 近代的인 性役割 態度를 가진 주부들보다 結婚 滿足度가 높았다.
性役割 態度와 주부의 職業有無別 結婚滿足度의 평균을 구해본 결과, 性役割態度가 傳統的이면서 專門職을 가진 주부의 結婚滿足度가 가장 높았고, 近代的인 性役割 態度를 가지고 非就業인 주부의 結婚滿足度가 가장 낮았다. 그리고 性役割 態度와 主婦의 敎育水準別 結婚滿足度의 평균은 性役割 態度가 傳統的이고 大卒以上의 敎育을 받은 주부의 結婚 滿足度가 가장 높았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between wives' sex-role attitude and their marital satisfaction for understanding a part of marital relations.
For this purpose, a questionnaire was constructed and administraited to 626 married women.
The sex role attitude scale was a modified version of the sex role attitude scale constructed by Osmond and Martin, and the marital satisfaction scale was developed basing upon the scales used by Terman and Hayes & Stinnett.
For the statistical analysis of the collected data, Pearson's r, x^(2)-test and ANOVA were performed.
The results of this study are summarized as follows:
1. Sex-role attitude
The majority of wives have considerably modern attitude toward their sex-role, especially in the extra familial roles.
Depending upon the variables of husband's educational level, wife's educational level, ages of the couples, wife's employment status, and family income, there was a significant difference in wife's sex-role attitude. That is, wives have relatively modern attitude toward their sex-role when the couples are younger, more educated, on a higher income level and working on a job. (especially on a professional job).
2. Marital Satisfaction
Wifes education level, husband's education level and family income make significant difference in their marital satisfaction. Specifically, a wife would be relatively more satisfied when she has more education and the family income level is higher.
3. The relationship between wives' sex-role attitude and marital satisfaction.
It is founded that wives' sex role attitude has some relationship with their marital satisfaction.
A wife tends to be more satisfied when she has traditional sex-role attitude.
A professional wife who has a traditional attitude shows most sa tisfaction and one who has a modern attitude and not having a job tends to be most dissatisfied with her marriage. It is also found that a wife who has traditional attitude and received college education or above shows most satisfaction while the wife who has modern attitude and received high school education or below shows most dissa tisf action with their marriage lives.
