반편견 교육활동이 유아의 자아개념, 조망수용능력 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향 = (The) Effect of Anti-bias curriculum on the child's self concept, perspective-taking skills and prosocial Behavior

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 자아개념, 조망수용능력 및 친사회적 행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 유아를 대상으로 반편견 교육활동을 실시하여 효과를 검증하고, 세계화 속에서 더불어 살아가야 하는 유아들에게 도움을 줄 수 있는 반편견교육활동 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.
본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.
1. 반편견 교육활동은 유아의 자아개념에 유의한 영향을 미치는가?
2. 반편견 교육활동은 유아의 조망수용능력에 유의한 영향을 미치는가?
3. 반편견 교육활동은 유아의 친사회적 행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는가?
본 연구의 대상은 서울에 소재한 S 유치원과 H유치원의 만 5세 유아 각각 30명(남아 16명, 여아 14명)씩 60명을 대상으로 하였다.
검사도구는 자아개념검사, 조망수용능력검사 및 친사회적 행동검사를 사용하였다. 자아개념검사는 정원식(1968)이 Fitts의 자아개념 검사를 토대로 개발한 표준화 자아개념 검사를 기초로 유아에게 알맞게 김정례(1991)가 사용한 검사지를 참고로 연구자가 보완하여 사용하였다. 조망수용 검사는 유아의 감정적 조망수용능력을 측정하기 위해 Eisenberg와 Lennon(1980)의 공감측정 도구를 연구자가 보완하여 사용하였다. 친사회적 행동 검사는 E. McGinnis와 A. P. Goldstein(1990)이 제작한 [Skill Situations Measure]를 이원영. 박찬옥. 노영희(1993)가 수정. 번안한 것을 사용하였다.
자료의 처리는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고 두 집단간의 차이를 검증하기 위해 t-test를 사용하였다.
본 연구에서의 결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 반편견 교육활동을 실시한 실험집단 유아들의 자아개념이 통제집단의 유아들 보다 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 자아개념의 하위요인 중 능력, 신체, 사회 자아개념 모두에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈으나 가정 자아개념에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다.
2. 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 타인에 대한 조망수용능력에 긍정적 영향을 나타내었다. 공감과 감정이해 및 전체 감정 조망수용에서 통계적으로 긍정적인 효과를 나타내었다.
3. 반편견 교육활동을 통해 실험집단 유아들의 친사회적 행동이 통제집단의 유아들 보다 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그러나 친사회적 행동의 하위요인 중 유치원 적응능력에서는 통계적으로 의미있는 차이가 없었으며 대인관계 형성능력과 개인정서 조절능력, 전체 친사회적 행동 점수에서는 통계적으로 의미있는 차이가 나타났다.
본 연구의 결과는 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 자아개념, 조망수용능력 및 친사회적 행동에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of Anti-bias curriculum on the child's self concept, perspective-taking skills and prosocial Behavior by experimenting on children with anti-bios curriculum, to supply the basic materials which can be helpful to the children who will live in globalized society.
The following questions were addressed for these proposes.
1. What is the effect of anti-bias curriculum on children's positive self concept ?
2. What is the effect of anti-bias curriculum on children's perspective-taking skills ?
3. What is the effect of anti-bias on children's prosocial Behavior ?
This experiment was applied to sixty 5-year-old children of 2 kindergartens located in Seoul.
Experimental tool used in it was Self concept Test, Perspective-taking skills Test and Prosocial Behavior Test. The analysis of data was analyzed by SPSS program. The employed t-test to detect the statistical difference between the 2 groups.
The results to this study were as follows.
1. Self concept of the children who received anti-bios curriculum showed the more meaningful difference statistically, than that of the children who are under the control group.
2. Anti-bios curriculum had a positive effect on the perspective-taking skills. And there is no meaningful difference statistically in terms of gender
3. Prosocial Behavior of children in experimental group showed a more meaningful difference statistically than the children in controlled group.
The results indicated that anti-bias curriculum was effective in improving kindergarten children's self concept, perspective-taking skills and prosocial Behavior.
